She needs better

Payton growled again as she played with her food, her day had taken an awful turn of events from meeting Cade to him bullying her and her friends, directly and indirectly.

After she left that good for nothing brat she went to class, everything seemed great she sat with Tina learnt everything made jokes. But as soon as class ended everything came falling down.

First he bumped into her on purpose but he claimed otherwise. Jaan, Tina and Ralph just told her to walk it off and she did with a few cusses followed. Then in line he made fun of them they all stood in line to get food, even if he wasn’t referring to them with their names, they knew it.

The last thing that pissed Payton off which was not supposed to at all was his continuous public display of affect with Zelda. Payton didn’t notice it before but their table was just three tables from her and her friends, from where she sat she saw it all and he did it all knowing she was watching.

Dahlia nudge her shoulder Payton came back to reality, looking at her roommate she looked confused. “You’ll hurt yourself even more if you break the fork Payton, relax.” Dahlia pointed towards the fork in her hand.

Payton looked at the at the bent fork in her hand, she did a number on it she didn’t even realize it. Payton kept the fork in hand looking at the couple again she spoke, “I don’t understand why she would stay with him.” disgust came over her features.

“We all have our downfalls, that’s hers we guess.” Dixie shrugged disturbed as much as Payton was.

“I think he spelled her though.” Payton stated, it did make a lot of sense why would a beautiful, strong and respected girl kiss up to a jerk. Payton’s statement didn’t seem far off everyone gave her nod agreeing.

Ralph snorted, “Yeah. Imagine always staying with him even if his a prick.” for moment Payton thought Zelda was blind or something but girl could see clear as daylight. The fact that bothered the most was she witnessed some of the actions but she just apologized in place of him, unbelievable.

Jaan sighed, “Poor girl.” he sound sorry for so did everyone at this school but nothing could be done.

Payton taking her eyes off the making out couple she looked amber dead in the eyes. “That jerk just made me his main target thanks guys.” she snorted at her and Dixie all this because of their plan, it went so south.

“Oh come on, we had to do you see what Zelda gets.” Keelin tried to reason on behalf of the whole group for their immature actions.

She bite her lower lips going through something in her mind then she licked her lips. “I feel sorry for her but it’s none of our business.” she rolled her eyes at their groans, her eyes locked with Cade again his arm over Zelda’s shoulder.

He was glaring at Payton again, “He glares like psycho path.” she spoke not leaving the glare down, then it immediately hit her she began laughing like a made person still smiling.

Everyone looked at her concerned, Ralph ran his fingers through his hair. “He is one but why are you laughing?” no one knew why she was laughing not even her.

She still held her big wide fake smile and her glare as she spoke, “He reminds me of my mother’s parents, I hate them so much they would get along perfectly.” she laughed even more loudly, now the concerned looked on their faces got worse. “Plus I’m laughing to piss him off, it’s working.” she added bring her bent fork eye level for him to see, she reconstructed it then broke it completely, dropping the fork down she gestured with her index finger slitting her throat at him.

Everyone looked petrified they just started a war. “You’re psycho too.” Jaan spoke holding onto his neck afraid the first demonstration would be with him.

She tore her eyes away from him as she saw the blood drain away from his face. With a satisfied heart she smiled devilishly, “The good kind though.”

“I’m afraid if I objected, I’ll be the fork.” Amber spoke from where she sat looking at Payton with caution. Her arms were wrapped around Dixie in an affectionate embrace yet also seeking protection.

Dahlia looked at her with narrowed eyes running her fingers through her hair she stole a side glance at her roommate. Who was eating like she hadn’t done a thing. “Your petrified, I can’t believe I slept peacefully with her in one room.” she pointed at Payton.

Payton caught her finger with her hand, everyone was at the edge of their seats. Payton laughing releasing Dahlia’s finger she spoke looking at everyone, “Over exaggerating much. Eat up we need our energy.” she continued with her meal with a satisfied smile, that would teach them to force her into something stupid.

Lunch passed by with the same thing Payton deadly glaring at Zelda’s boyfriend. After twenty minutes she got tired of it and just ignored him as she enjoyed her chips, without a fork.

They went back to class for one last class of the day. Payton sat with Tina while Jaan and Ralph sat behind them. Ralph trying his best to be eavesdrop on the conversation.

Jaan smacked him in the head, Ralph glared at his friend while rubbing the back of his head. “Stop trying to invade their privacy man.” Jaan told him with no apologetic look.

Ralph was about to deny the accusation but the two girls turned facing Jaan with a smile. “Thank you Jaan.” They spoke in union. They all tried it but Ralph didn’t stop at all he just wanted to hear it all.

“Students!” Ms. Rosalyn called out to the four, Payton and her friends apologized. Ms. Rosalyn with on with the class, “As I was saying. Magic doesn’t work on both of you unless your mentally weak and physically. For vampires it’s because you survive off blood from another source, so to master magic you’re impure and magic can not be mastered by a non living force.”

“Why?” a student from the front rolled asked out of curiousity.

Ms. Rosalyn held a serious face as she answered, “Because magic is all about being one with soul nature and the universe, vampires are living but they are not fully living and you can be spelled is you’re vulnerable.” the students have her nods understanding what was being said.

“As for angel you are powerful beings with unexpected capabilities. You’re one with the universe so you can practice magic but it very few who master it, you can be spelled if you’re vulnerable.” she continued with the lesson.

“But most of the times you can not be spelled.” Ms. Rosalyn clarified

“Does it mean I can practice magic even if I’m a half vampire.” Payton asked. Ms. Rosalyn thought through it for a few seconds, she looked back at Payton with a light smile. “Yes but because of that side of you, you can’t master magic.”

“When will we start practicing magic.” Ralph squealed he could not be more excited.

“In all due time.” Ms. Rosalyn continued with the lesson. Payton was deep in thought thinking about what she heard, she she knew magic Cade wouldn’t be such a big problem.

Tina chuckled then tugged Payton gently, “We’re going to be destructive aren’t we?” Payton smirked mischievous, she was certainly going to be destructive.
