Mrs. Kent stood there in front of her daughter with tears in her eyes, she couldn't believe she was leaving them. Pulling Payton into her embrace again she whispered in her ear tears rolling down her eyes, "I'm going to miss you so so much." she kept on holding onto her beloved daughter too tightly.
Mr. Kent rested his hand on his wife's shoulder giving it a light squeeze he spoke, "Dear, it's my turn." despite him trying to sound tough his voice cracked a bit. Mrs. Kent let go of Payton then made way for her father, he embraced her in a huge bone crushing hug. "Going to miss you so much." with one last squeeze he took a step back.
Payton looked at both her parent with a sad smile, the day had finally came the day she would be miles and miles away from her family. Her father stood beside her mother comforting her with a tight hug. "I'll miss you both too." she spoke with a heavy heart.
Mrs. Kent kept sobbing in her husband's arms and it looked like he was about to as well. "You know I don't like cry don't make me cry." she spoke walking over to give them one last hug, after a few seconds she broke it off.
"They grow up so fast!" this time it was Mr. Kent he broke into sobs while holding onto his wife. Mrs. Kent sighed wiping away her tears she looked at her friend who had been experiencing all their drama. Payton got a hold of her suitcase while her bag pack hang off her shoulder, Mrs. Kent gave her one last warning look then turned to Kassandra.
"Keep in touch both of you. Payton don't you-"
"Mum!" she spoke while glaring at the woman. Mrs. Kent rolled her eyes at her daughter dragging her husband to the passengers seat, she got into the drivers seat with one last wave she began to drive off, Mr. Kent still sobbing.
Once the car was out of sight Payton turned to the headmistress and her daughter with a faint smile. "They are usually less dramatic." she explained walking up to them.
The headmistress shook her head in disapproval, "Can't say that for Nathaniel, his always been that way even as a teen." a giggle escaped from the young girls mouths and a light giggle from Kassandra herself. She turned to her daughter with a smile, "Dahlia you know what to do, if you'll excuse me I got a lot of work to do." Kassandra left the two girls alone.
When Payton turned back to the girl she discovered Dahlia was only inches away from her face, she was eating up Payton's personal space. "I can't smell what you are, what are you." Dahlia sniffed Payton again.
Payton lightly shoved Dahlia away then introduced herself with a wide smile and a stretched out arm. "Well hello to you too, I'm Payton Kent nice to meet you." Dahlia took her hand with a mischievous smile, pulling Payton to her again she sniffed her scent.
"What are you, you're giving me mixed scents." she spoke without letting go of her hand nor leaving her eyes. Her light brown eyes pieced Payton's with pure curiosity.
"You won't stop till I tell you right?" Payton asked still unclose with Dahlia who gave her a quick nod. Payton looked at their hands then into her eyes, "Okay but can we go to our room I need to rest." Dahlia seemed to weigh on her opinions, she slowly began to let Payton go.
"Shall we roommate?" she pointed in the right direction of the building they got out of. It seemed to be another building a bit bigger and with more floors than the centre building.
Payton followed Dahlia without any further questions. As they walked down the path on all sides of the fields were occupied with students, some in groups everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.
A gush of wind passed by Payton her eyes looked trailed off to the direction it came from. An angel was flying her his wings were pure white like those of his mum, Payton had only see one angel in her life that being her mother, her mother's parents never seen them.
He looked down upon the two girls with a cocky smile. The angel was dressed in only a short leaving his chest out, definitely he had a body a girl would die for just not Payton.
Dahlia looked up to her friend her face showing complete disapproval. "Get down Ralph and stop trying to flirt." she shouted just enough for him to hear.
Ralph huffed slowly descending untill his feet were on the ground right next to Payton. "What. I was just trying my luck, with her looks every dude will be fighting over her. I want to claim her." he said while looking Dahlia in the eyes.
Laughter escaped Payton's mouth gaining two sets of eyes on her she patted Ralph on the shoulder, "You're funny." she gave them one last laugh then silence followed.
"Dahlia our room?" she left the two looking at her with a puzzled look, she made quite the impression on her poor Ralph.
The three beamed down the hall way as they walked they kept getting stares it made Payton rather uncomfortable. She looked at Dahlia who was at her right, "Why are they staring at us." she whispered.
"No. not us, you." Dahlia pointed out looking at all the girls in the hall.
"Why, shouldn't they be staring at the topless angel beside me." Payton pointed towards Ralph who gave her a side smirk, the boy was overly confident Payton made a note check.
"They have seen that many times they are looking at you, you're-"
"Beautiful, gorgeous, pretty. Will you be my girlfriend?" he asked resting his arm on her shoulders. If she wasn't uncomfortable before she certainly was right now.
She shook his arm off then looked at Dahlia again, "It's uncomfortable." she complained then she pouted.
Dahlia patted her softly on the back, "Get used to it..." she stopped walking then turned Payton around facing as room door. "Here we are, our room H-34." she spoke as she turned the keys in the door knob.
The walls of the room where in grey there where two beds, one on left side and the other the right. At the left side of the bed stood a short corridor with a door on it's right, the other wall had another door.
"That is your bed and that little corridor there is where our bathroom and toilet, the door on my side is our closet room." Dahlia explained.
Ralph walked past them to Payton's bed making herself comfortable. Payton turned to Dahlia but she just raised her arms in the air surrendering then she walked to her bed.
Payton closed the door behind her leaving her bag and suitcase by the door she went over to Dahlia's bed. She laid herself down behind Dahlia. "You're on my bed at least tell me what you are." Dahlia poked her.
"Probably a witch or fay." Ralph commented from the other side of the room.
"I'm a hybrid."
"What and what?" it was Ralph that asked with full curiosity. Payton sighed then turned herself facing the ceiling with a sigh she spoke. "Vampire and Angel."
