Meet the gang

Dahlia and Ralph looked at Payton as if she had lost her mind. The two had never heard of a half angel and half vampire, she would certainly be the first.

Dahlia cupped her face bringing their faces inches apart. She looked into her piecing blue eyes, "You got to be joking right."

Payton looked from her arms to her face with a serious voice she spoke. "Will you laugh when my teeth are deep within your neck?" the girl did not seem to be joking one bit, Dahlia let go of Payton raising her arms out in defence, she didn't want to have teeth in her skin.

"Date me.." Ralph now seemed to be out of his shock he sat up looking Payton in the eyes with full admiration. "Date ME!!" he repeated but this time it came out even more high pitched.

Payton did not bother at all looking at him she kept her eyes glued to the ceiling. "I will not." Dahlia giggled beside her finding it all amusing.

"Why?" he asked suddenly, the second rejection he had got from her in one day.

"Why do you want me to date you so bad?" Payton answered his question with a question, with everything she said or did he couldn't be shaker off, he was like glue.

"I don't want you to date me that bad." he crossed his arms in front of his bare chest trying to object everything.

"You do man." this time Dahlia intervened which got a vigorous head nod from Payton.

Ralph composed himself, letting his hands rest on the bed he began to explain. "Fine, You have the strength of an angel and a vampire. You can fly and you're fast, you got to be the strongest amongst us." the whole explanation was done with the help of his hands, demonstrating what ever he thought he was doing.

Payton now laid on her side facing the guy she asked, "So the reason is?" a slight giggle came from Dahlia who was experiencing a full on debate.

"I like strong women, they are my type."

Payton rolled her eyes at his stupidness, "You ain't mine." she shrugged afterwards.

Like a hot coat had landed on him Ralph jumped from the bed to his feet, "Impossible!" rejection to him was never possible. With his short dark brown hair and light brown eyes girls fell for it, to add on that he had the body, he was a full package.

Payton sat up for this one, she sat at the edge of the bed like Dahlia. Looking the guy in the eyes she spoke with a smirk on her lips, "You're not your type's type just let it sink in." Dahlia at seeing his face she bursted out in laughter Payton helped her.

His eyes looked as though they were about to pop out of his socket like a wet lost puppy he sat back down with any further words.

Payton laid back on the bed Dahlia rested her head on her stomach as the three talked, a meaningful conversation. A moment of silence came within the room, "You should show me around." Payton spoke breaking the silence.

"That's a great idea, you will love it plus it's almost lunch." Dahlia got off the bed Payton followed her right after. "Can we pass by my dorm I need a shirt." Ralph asked both the two with a wide smile, Dahlia approved with a nod.

When Payton stood she fixed the short she had on and her t-shirt, she showed up at school like a bum but yet she got a lot of attention.

She followed Dahlia and Ralph out the door. They walked out of her their dorm to the dorm right next to theirs along the way the stares where getting more intense, so where the whispers.

"She looks like a witch." she heard one student whisper to her friend. "No I bet she's a wolf like Dahlia." her friend replied with excitement Payton just shrugged then kept looking at the ground as they walked.

"Ignore them." Dahlia tried encouraging her with a light pat on her back. Payton looked at though she was joking, "That's hard considering they whispering to loud." they weren't at all she just could hear that far and was it annoying.

Ralph disappeared into his dorm leaving the girls outside waiting for him. They leaned back against the wall waiting on him as almost everyone kept staring at Payton.

He didn't take that much time to return when he did he had on a white tank top. "Done, let's begin the tour. Tour guide." he bow in front of Dahlia gesturing for her to start and she did.

Payton followed by her side as she explained the history of Amidst, from who and when it originated. She took her first into the classroom section, it was a three floored building with multiple class rooms for different purposes. The building against to it was their library, it had everything about the school and all information to learn about a species.

Then they walked to their sport fields for football volleyball and all that. Dahlia explained about the little forest behind the classroom blocks it was school property and there was a river within the forest.

When Payton was introduced to everything which she paid full attention to it was time for lunch, the cafeteria stood in between the four dorms being the centre of it all while the classrooms where on the other side of the school.

Amidst boarding school was a school with tall buildings of various floors with different designs and the sight of it all intrigued Payton.

The three walked into cafeteria, students were seated some where in line while other were just chatting. The environment was changed for Payton, all the supernatural beings were mixed as one, it felt great.

They got their meals then walked up to the table that had two guys and two girls. Placing her tray down Dahlia introduced Payton, "Guys this is Payton she's new." she gestured for her to sit and she did besides her.

She held out her arm point to the long white haired girl with gray eyes, "Payton Amber she's a witch." amber gave Payton a friendly smile. Dahlia kept the introduction going pointing towards the girl with long black hair with dark blue eyes, "Dixie banshee." Dixie gave Payton a shy smile.

The guy next to Dixie was next, he had curly black hair with average brown eyes, "Jaan vampire." she then took her attention towards the guy who had his gray black hair in a ponytail, his eyes where different like Amber's but his where faint gold and black. "And Keelin merman." she looked at him with surprise a million questions racing in her mind.

Once the introductions where done Jaan looked at Payton with curiosity, "What are you?" he asked with a dominance in his voice.

"Like you..." he gave her an excited nod but Payton wasn't done, her index finger pointed to the direction of Ralph. "And him."

She got a gasps from amber and Dixie, Keelin just looked amused where Jaan looked lost. "An angelic vampire!" Amber squealed holding onto Dixie beside her.

As she ate her lunch she kept getting questions from everyone, like do u drink blood do u have wings what colour are they and all that. Their group was an unusual one but so was every other group at Amidst.

The rest of the day Payton and her new found friends spent it together, getting to know the new student. With every proposal they made Payton kindly refused showing her wings or fangs was not her.

She already liked the girls and guys they were friendly and welcoming, from that moment she knew she had found a lovely different family.

From time to time Keelin would crack a joke or make fun of someone, everyone would burst into laughter. There couldn't be a more great first day in all her life she was content.

The day passed, Dahlia and Payton went to their room. As Payton laid in bed she couldn't wait for the next day, the day she would be in class and learn all types of things.
