Chapter 2

Amelia's POV

"I think we should tell him, he's old enough to know the truth now" I tell my mate, looking right into the same blazing blue eyes that I first fell in love with.

"Why so that he can blame himself for everything that's happening to our species right now no" my stubborn mate says and he wonders where Alex gets it from, I think with a smirk.

"I know better than anyone what it feels like to blame yourself but that doesn't mean we shouldn't tell him" I tell him feeling myself get emotional. In a heartbeat Dallas is next to me pulling me into him comforting embrace as I begin to sob remembering what happened to my baby 22 years ago and not being able to find out who was behind it the bastard I killed was merely a puppet.

"I know love and I'm so sorry I wasn't there for you, for the both of you" Dallas apologizes while rubbing calming circles on my back. I pull back to look at the man I love with his jet black hair, blue eyes, roman nose, square jaw and the most full kissable lips I've ever seen just to see him already staring down at me heartbroken for what happened but it wasn't his fault. I reach up and wrap my arms around his neck pulling him into a passionate kiss letting him feel all the love I have for him.

"Feel better" he questions me still holding me like I will break down again at any second

"Much, but are you sure about not telling Alex" I ask him once more seeing if he changed his mind even though I doubt he has.

"Yes love telling him will only hurt him more. Do you want him to blame himself for something that wasn't his fault and he can't change?

"No I don't" I tell him pulling away with a pout. He pulls me into a hug again before his phone rings causing him to groan mumbling curses at them saying he'll call them back. I laugh pulling away and walking towards the door.

"Where are you going we aren't finished here" he says with a pout making me wanna go back to kiss it away.

"Don't worry we'll continue this later tonight Alpha" I emphasize knowing how much of a turn on it is for him and from the low growl I hear I know he's restraining himself causing me to giggle as I walk out closing the door behind me.
