"Time isn't real you know." She twirled in her bellydancing skirt, lavishing in the sound of fake coin jangling and bead rattles. She assessed the effect it was having on the world's best human (in her opinion) in the large mirror's surface. She wondered if he could sense the delight his attentions were bringing her.
His sunlit golden hair and bronzed physique held no contest for her over the mesmerizing waves of radiance lapping like an elixir at her being, simply from the smile of his azure ocean eyes, not that she hadn't noticed his other stunning features...for the zillionth time today.
It was his smile that had identified him to her. He could alter to any physical personification he had the whimsy to, but his smile was his signature.. it pulsated from him. She hummed, "I know you, I... mmm-mm-mmn-mm-mm..."
He shot her another dazzling one from over his phone's screen. He was researching, as she had been just earlier, some topic or another.
"Down the rabbit hole," they had agreed, the internet inspiring new topics far beyond dawn.
Once again they had talked the night away, and had broken from the spell they had cast on one another by acknowledging it with at least a half an hour of mirthfull giggles, but then only briefly.
If one did not know better, they would think the shoddy and neglected apartment inhabited by a strange couple, far beyond merging with madness.
She blew a shy kiss at his reflection in the mirror, and was rewarded with the brilliance of his overwhelmingly undeniable, and undenyingly addictive, absolutely magnetic turning up of the corners of his mouth. A slight indicator that his entire self was smiling, slight only to the unfortunate ones who could not feel the bliss she could feel as a result.
"Maybe it is 'sanity' that forces the others to forget." Her brown eyes squinted as she drifted elsewhere, then relaxed.
He leapt from the bright red couch, strangely centered in the sparse wood panelled room, and held her close in front of the antique mirror.
"Maybe. I never gave it thought before, but talking with you now, I know you are telling the truth, and I think neither one of us in danger of being referred to as sane." He tussled her ankle bracelet with his foot, they both merrily laughed in silence a moment, like children do when amused by the things they are.
"I never have the words, until I am with you."
She relaxed into his embrace, it felt good to be remembering more. It felt good to be with him.
Converging always felt like new discovery, like new love, like innocence..but they..
..they are timeless.
