Lord Russiavo's Pov
I returned home to the guards bowing as my car rode down the driveway. When it halted in front of the stairs leading into the mansion, I got out to see Alex walking to me with a sad look in his eyes.
“Welcome sir,” he said with a smile, but I was not here for it.
“You stupid i***t,” I muttered. “You are damn lucky I’ve got connections to the police. Why would you call them when you committed a crime? What if you had called one who wasn’t on my payroll?”
He kept his eyes down as he was confused and did not know what to say or do.
“That’s what I thought,” I inhaled deeply. I looked around to see every staff member there but the prisoner was not. “Where is she?”
“I locked her in her room. She seems intent on trying to escape.”
“She never learns.” With that, I walked into the house as the staff went back to their various places.
I headed straight for her room to see he was right. With a click, I opened the door to get into the room. Almost immediately I felt someone behind me and I turned just in time to see a bat swinging towards my face.
Dodging to the side, it fell to the ground with her trying to regain her balance. That was when I held her hand from lifting it up, tossing her to the side as she fell to the ground.
“That was… intense,” a chuckle escaped my lips as I locked the door, getting into the room to see she had broken the leg off a chair. “That wood is really expensive. Did you have to do that?
The girl grunted to her feet, her eyes brimming with energy.
“I see you still have energy left in you,” I smiled. “How would you like it if I decided to cut out food from your daily routine? Maybe give them to the dogs since they obey me and you don’t.”
“I would rather die than be your slave!” I could hear her teeth gritting from where I was standing but I had heard those words before.
Those people I had tortured over the years had been filled with energy on the first days, but over time that energy had fallen and soon enough they had begged me for mercy.
I could easily do this same trick to her and watch her crumble. She was nothing to me. She was my enemy’s daughter. She was bait to draw out her father.
“If I wanted you dead, you would be dead already,” I sighed tired of hearing her speak. “I could easily have your head lopped off or have your entire body melted or thrown into the dog pen and ripped to shreds by the hybrid dogs in there," I taunted and continued, "Trust me, if you think you can take any punishment I dish out, you are wasting your time because you have no idea what I am capable of and what I can do. I can be a villain right now and I can also be the worst monster you’ve ever met. I’m sure you’ve heard stories about me and what I can do. Why don’t you tell me what you’ve heard of me?”
She still wouldn't budge. “That you are a monster!” she yelled, dropping the weapon on the ground in exhaustion. “I can’t believe I have to deal with you. Of all people in the world to abduct me it has to be you.”
“At least you get a room to sleep in. How many people would do that to you after what your father did?!”
The urge to tell her what her father was high and I itched to let her feel my anger, but I would not do it. I would get rid of that anger and do something else with it.
“You’re still a monster and I am a prisoner.”
“I hear you’ve been trying to escape.” I changed the subject while sitting on a couch. “You know that is impossible. The fences are electrified, the yard filled with my men and dogs, the cars locked with special keys and they can’t be hot wires just in case you try to do that. There is nowhere for you to run. You are stuck here. You are my prisoner. I own you.”
“You don’t own me. I don’t belong to you!”
“The fifty million would beg to differ,” I chuckled. “Seems like a waste of good money if I let you walk out that door. You belong to me. In fact, you are my most prized possession. You are more expensive when compared to my houses and my cars.”
She grabbed a pen knife from the table to put on her neck as I panicked for a minute. “What are you doing?” I inquired as I rose to my feet.
“I will slit my own throat if you don’t release me.”
I giggled. “Don’t be silly. You think this will freak me out?”
“I mean it.”
“Are you threatening me? That is a stupid move because if you die now I still get my revenge against your father. Like I said if I wanted you dead you would be dead already, but I don’t. If you kill yourself it still doesn’t change anything for me. Sure I would lose fifty million but I’ll still get the money back by collecting it from your father and returning your body back to him… in pieces.”
She shuddered when she heard that, dropping the knife to the ground. “You’re a monster!”
“I know. I’ve heard that a million times. You’re not the first person to tell me what I am.”
“How can you live with all the horrible things you’ve done?”
“It’s simple. I sleep with classical music on. Maybe you should try it sometime," I taunted and walked to the door to see that it had been weakest with the screws coming loose. You can’t even break through this door and yet you want to escape this place,” I chuckled, exiting the room.
