Joining Black Moon

*Raelynn’s POV* “Mom!!!!!!!!” I yell from the back of the house as I’m running around like crazy trying to find my boots. I’m already an hour late to my best friend Ed’s birthday party. Not to mention it’s on the complete opposite side of our pack land here at Lake Moon. As of right next to me I hear my moms Luna tone boom at me. “Raelynn if I have to tell you one more time to stop yellin across my damn house you won’t be going no where!!!” I quickly run to her and with the biggest smile and hug that I know will soften her up I ask if she knows where my boots have run off to. She proceeds to tell me she threw them on the front porch cause they were covered in mud and I had dirtied up her floor. “Raelynn I suggest if you wanna leave this house with out a fight about your choice in clothes you better hurry your father is almost home!” She says laughing. And with that I started to run to grab my keys and my boots to head for the truck. Before I could make it in the door my dad comes in. He immediately looks me up and down and his face goes from smiling to red with rage. Hey daddy!! I say as I give him a hug trying to distract him from telling me I need to change. Luckily my mom walks in and tells him I look cute and he needs to get over the fact that I’m her exact copy and has no room to talk about the way I dress when he use to prefer when she dressed like that at my age. I could almost see the steam coming out of his ears as she kissed him and waved at me to go before anything else could be said. Like a mad man I run for my truck and hop in. As I turn it on and speed off I hear my dad yelling for me to come back. But it’s to late I’ll deal with the big bad Alpha and the butt chewin I’m going to get tomorrow. Right now I just want to get to the lake to celebrate my best friend turning 18 and gaining his wolf tonight at midnight. Ed is the first out of him meagan and I to turn 18 and gain out wolves. As you know my parents are the Alpha and Luna of our pack, Eds parents are our Betas, and Meagan’s parents are our Gammas. So it’s a big deal for us all cause come next week it’ll be Meagan and I’s birthday and all of our packs next leaders will be ready to take over for our parents. Usually only males take over at 18 as Alpha but luckily my dad doesn’t care and knows I’ll find my mate and either join packs together or he will join ours. Us three as best friends could look or be anymore different from each other it’s shocking we get along so well. I stand at about 5”5’, around 150 pounds, I am luckily curvy is all the right places for my height and weight, I have dirty blonde hair that goes down to my waist, I’m usually pale but developed a tan this summer, a nice fat and toned a**, along with double D’s to compliment the rest of me, I already have one arm covered in tattoos and I have big emerald green eyes. I’m the confrontational, foul mouth, sassy one of the group. Ed stands at 6”4’, around 250 pounds of pure muscle, short curly black hair, honey brown eyes, tan skin, his arm and shoulder are covered in tattoos just like mine. He’s the smart, calm , cool and collected one of us three who usually has to play babysitter for us. And then there’s Meagan she’s 5”7’, about 120 lbs, hair that goes to her shoulders that is dark red, piercing blue eyes, barley and curves to her, but dear lord is she strong as hell it’s almost scary. She’s the shyest of us three and very reserved. As I pull up to the lake on the east side of our pack I finally spot them I grab my swim suit from the back seat and make my way over. Before Ed has time to realize I’m there I push him into the lake right off the dock. Shortly followed by Ed yelling at me. “RAELYNN WHAT IN THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?!” I can’t help but laugh at his face of shock and annoyance. “Happy birthday Ed that was my present to you!” I say as I keep laughing as I make myself a drink and him a new one since it spilt in the lake when I pushed him. After he gets out I give him a big hug and his drink followed by giving on to Meagan. I quickly change into my baby blue cheeky bikini and start enjoying my time with them before Ed shifts for the first time tonight. I start playing games and making Ed drink some more making him let loose. Cause tomorrow the fun and time spent with lessen drastically after his ceremony to become the official beta of our pack happens. I look down at my phone and realize it’s almost time midnight. I head over to Ed to tell him we start a fire as everyone gathers around. We are all excited to see and meet Ed’s wolf our new beta. It’s finally 11:59 we all do a celebratory shot and wait for his wolf to emerge. *Ed’s POV* I take the shot and wait with anticipation for my wolf to emerge I have waited for this day for so long and it’s finally here. Suddenly a headache starts to form I wince in pain and as soon as it came it was gone. Hello Ed I’m happy this day has finally come I’ve been waiting to finally meet you. I’m Apollo your wolf. Hello Apollo I can’t believe the day has finally come I’m so happy to finally have my other of half me . When can we shift? We can shift now if you like but if you don’t mind I would like to say hi and introduce myself to the pack members before we shift. I would also like to say hi to our future Luna and Gamma. Okay Apollo let’s get it over with so we can show them our true form! I open my eyes and look at my best friends and pack members. Hey guys my wolf Apollo would like to say hi to everyone before we shift. They all cheer as I let Apollo come forward. “ Fellow pack members it’s great to finally meet you and can’t wait to be y’all’s new beta and I hope to serve y’all well. And I would also like to tell you Raelynn and Meagan I can wait to help my future Luna and Gamma run this pack and to meet your wolves next week. With that said it’s time for Ed and I to shift into our true form!” I feel control come back to me as I walk over to an empty spot and start to strip down to my boxers ready to shift. My skin starts to feel like fire, then my shoulder cracks and dislocates, then I start to see claws and fur sprout from my hand. Then all the cracking and pain comes after what feels like forever the pain stops. I look down and I see my paws covered in gray and white I then run to the shore like to look at my self in the water. I’m huge bigger than I thought I would be I can already tell I’m bigger than my father. My fur has splotches of white and metallic gray all over and over my left eyes is a perfect circle of white with a ring of gray around the outside of it. My eyes are still honey brown and I couldn’t be more happy with what my wolf looks like. As I turn and walk back to my back members Raelynn and Meagan are already walking up to us to give us a hug and pat on the head. Then ours Alphas voice booms in our heads over mind link “Rouges get to your designated hideouts warriors to the north border now!” And then I get another from him “Ed get the girls and go to the bunker make sure they are safe we need you to protect them there are to many rouges attacking for them to be left alone!” Yes Alpha! I mink link back. I crouch down and the girls climb on my back as I run as fast as my four legs can take me to our bunker. As we make it the girls hop down and open the door I shift back and as we start to head in I hear Meagan scream out in pain. Right then I feel the connection to our gammas sever meaning they had been killed. I pick her up and walk down into the bunker as Rae closes the hatch. I lay her down on one fo the beds and head back to Rae. She is already packing up go bags and opening the safes for her and meagan. I walk up to her and she tells me to get ready just in case we need to get in the truck and use the tunnel to escape. As I start to pack Rae yells out in pain and I felt it to our Alphas were gone. Rae start to collapse I barely am able to catch her in time before she hit her head on the way. I take her and set her next to Meagan and turn back to finish getting everything we needed to go. There’s no doubt about it we have to run. I load u other truck with everything and grab the bag Rae packed the money and other stuff from the safes and open my parents. I throw everything in the bag and then grab the map and address my mom out in so we could go to my cousins pack if anything ever happened. My cousin Brayden is the Alpha of the Black moon pack and is the safest places for us now. It’s going to take almost 7 hours if we don’t stop we are in Aspen Tx and he’s all the way on the other side some place in West Tx. I put the bag in the passenger side floor board and went to put the girls in the truck. As I’m putting Meagan in the back seat a pain rips trough me and my wolf howls. Apollo recedes into the back of my mind taking most of the pain which keeps me from passing out like the girls. My parents are gone tears escape my eyes as I go to grab Raelynn we have to go now before they realize where we are. I turn on the truck and speed down the tunnel determined to get the girl to safety I have Brayden’s number ready to call for when I got service again and we are a safe distance away. The tunnel opens and I almost hit it I was going so fast. I start to hear howls from wolves and I press on the gas petal harder. We finally make it off pack lands and I head towards Black Moon. After an hour I finally get signal and start to call Brayden after 3 rings it goes to voicemail. I call again and it does the same thing I start to cuss to my self as I grip the steering wheel trying to keep calm. It’s not helping and I yell F*** on the top of my lungs and right after I stop Raelynn wakes up screaming. *Raelynns POV* I wake up startled and confused to Ed yelling. I couldn’t make out what he said but I started to panic. Ed reached over and grabs my hands telling me to calm down. I finally realize we are in a truck and hauling a** down the highway I look over at Ed and I can see everything that has happened was true. “Rae I’m so sorry! We are currently on the way to my cousins pack Black Moon his name is Brayden he’s the Alpha. And before you ask yes Rae all of our parents are gone, our pack is gone.” Ed says to me with tears in his eyes. I just look at him dumb founded in able to believe this is all happening. Luckily the phone started ringing and the name Brayden is flashing on Ed’s phone. He hastily grabs is and answers the phone. Brayden:Ed why are you calling me so late what’s going on?! Ed: Brayden our pack was attacked by rouges! My parents and other ranked members are all dead. I was able to get me Raelynn and Meagan out. We have no where to go but to you which was moms back up plan if anything like this ever happened. B: okay Ed it’s going to be okay I’m going to send warriors to meet with you in Dallas y’all we stay the night there in one of my hotels and then the next day my warriors will escort y’all here. I promise we will find this F*****s who did this. E: Thanks Brayden I’ll call you with updates on our progress send me the information of where we need to go. Raelynn just woke up and is still freaking out a bit need to get her calmed down so she can help me with Meagan when she finally wake up. B: Alright Ed I’ll call you soon with the i for y’all be safe With that Ed hung up and looked over at me and took my hand. He lets go and hands me a bottle of water and some Advil and told me to drink. I reluctantly take it from him and down the pills along with the whole bottle of water . I look behind me to see Meagan still passed out in the back I reach under my seat and grab a blanket and put it over her and then grabbed another for me. Ed and I sit in silence for awhile before I start to cry think of how we just lost everything and curl up into my seat. As I cry and stare out the window I feel my cheeks becoming raw from all the cry and my eyes get heavy and eventually sleep takes over. I wake up to the car come to a stop I look out the window to see we are at a gas station. “Rae I’m getting gas here is some money put $50 on pump three, get some energy drinks and snacks for us we have about 2 more hours till we reach Dallas.” With that I slowly get out of the car and make my way into the gas station. I first head to the bathroom as I look in the mirror I sigh and start straining my self up. I splash water on my fave removing my make up that’s all smeared and smuggled. I then fix my mess of a hair into a high piney tail and head out. I load us up on all kinds of snack and energy drinks pay for the gas and get back in the truck. As Ed hops in I can see how tired he is I don’t know if he can go much longer. “ Ed let me take over driving you look like you are about to pass out”. “No Rae I can do it it’s fine.” “I wasn’t asking now get your a** in the passenger seat I’ll drive the rest of the way to Dallas and don’t argue with me I will pull out my Luna tone!” Ed throws up he’s hands in surrender and gets out to get in the passenger seat. I take off following the gps to the hotel when the phone rings B: Hey guys how far out are y’all? R: we are about to hours out Brayden I took over driving cause Ed needed a break. Is everything ready to go at the hotel are the warriors already on the way? B: yes hotel has been notified just got to the desk. My warriors should be there about 30 minutes before y’all. How are you holding up Rae? R: As best I can just ready to be out of the car thanks for everything Brayden. I need to focus on where I’m going call you when we get there. Bye I hang up before I can get a response I get nervous talking to Brayden I remember meeting him when we were all pretty young and I had the biggest crush on him. I wonder what he looks like now.. damn I need to stop he probably has a mate anyway and this is no time to be thinking like this. My pack just got whipped out of existence and we are on the run to safety. Not to mention Meagan still has woken up I can’t imagine how heart broken she is. That’s the only family she’s ever had and her mom was her best friend and the one person that made her come out of her shell of being so shy. No one knows but me and her but her mom and just found out she was pregnant so not only did she lose her parents but a sibling too. I look over to see Ed passed out I reach in the bag off goodies and pull out a NOS and a bag of funnyuns to drink and much on. I grab my phone and hook it up to the car and put on some music to distract me from my thoughts and help me pay attention to the road. All of a sudden cry interrupts my spacing out and I realize Meagan has woken up and I shake Ed awake. He climbs in the back to help soothe and talk her down. Finally after 30 minutes she climbs up front and holds my hand and we both cry for a bit. Just then I see a sign on the side of the road that says entering Dallas county and call Brayden. After I got off the phone with Brayden telling him we made it into Dallas we pull up to the hotel. Three SUVs full of warriors step out and help us with our stuff and escorts us inside. The first one to approach me at the car introduces himself as Brayden’s Beta Dylan. “ Raelynn, Ed, Meagan follow me this was I’m Dylan Brayden Beta. I’m so sorry for what has happened let’s get you to y’all’s rooms and then we can get something to eat and talk about what’s to come next. Then I’ll let y’all rest for the night if you need anything don’t be afraid to ask.” Thank you Beta Dylan I reply and walk forward. I let out a deep sigh as we walk inside thankful to be out of the car.
