EpilogueThe trial of Trevor Donovan was a short but sweet affair as far as the police were concerned. Donovan continued to maintain his silence, even refusing to cooperate with his court-appointed trial barrister, Morton Howard. Due to the sensationalist reporting that had filled the press since Donovan's arrest, the trial was held in London at the Central Criminal Court, better known as The Old Bailey, named for the street on which it stands, and built on the site of the old, notorious Newgate Prison. Ross gave his evidence early on the first day of the trial and returned to Liverpool where he would await the result, of which he was in no doubt.
