Chapter 13

2952 Words

Chapter 13Pathology and Psychology Doctor William Nugent, the city's chief pathologist, showed great delight in welcoming Christine Bland to his domain once more. He hadn't forgotten her previous visit to the city when she'd assisted Ross and his team in solving the particularly brutal slayings of several men in Liverpool's graveyards, which had appropriately enough come to be known as the 'Graveyard Murders'. Her reputation preceded her, and the obese but brilliant Glaswegian took a great delight in seeing her once more. “Christine, so good to see you again,” the rotund pathologist positively beamed at Bland. “You too, Doctor Nugent,” she replied. “Och, come now, it's William, as you well know. No formality, please. And D.I. Ross and the beautiful Sergeant Drake, welcome as always.”
