“Who was that woman?” I hissed to the back of Jess’s jade-green head, the top sectioned into a faux hawk with the bottom half billowing out behind her.
“Jess?”
The curls swept back over her shoulder as she turned to give me a hard look. “Jada,” she spat. “Jada Harris. Eisen’s piece of s**t mate.”
I blanched and nearly stumbled, but if the she-wolf noticed, she didn’t slow her pace, continuing to drag me behind her as she stalked toward the room. “Eisen has a mate? Why hasn’t Jaxom ever mentioned her before?”
