I knew the moment i saw her, that she was the one. The only one who could make my life a living heaven or hell. Her eyes were like the ocean captivating and pulling you into their depths, her hair that moved perfectly with the wind and her laugh which made my whole existence complete. she was beautiful and i loved her. she was the only light in the scarred darkness that consumed me. she was an angel beyond perfection, that i could never have, but i loved her. I loved her even though we were world's apart and i would do anything to make her mine.

CAGED 1
SPRING POV How long have I been here. Chained mercilessly for days, starved without food and those metallic chains which pierce through my skin leaving stains of blood on my body. My throat parched and my body broken with the amount of lashings they give me everyday. I was beyond the point of recovery. I could see the gateway to heaven open in a distant. In each passing day the amount of merciless punishment these people gave kept on increasing. I feared I would soon be dead before I even see light. What have I done to deserve this. To deserve this cruel treatment that i dint know exists. FLASHBACK I had just landed in New York few days ago to attend the world's biggest architectural competition held by WS company. They own business all around the world from grocery to all the major car manufacturing companies. They also take part in government elections to bribe the leaders of their work. some say that it has a dark and shady side, while others just admire its feet from being a company which was founded in a sub-urbs to a multi-national company over 10 years. I would say the founder was amazing in building his empire. I wont believe all these fake news on tv until and unless I see them myself. I believe asking the person is more important than judging them. So the WS company had put out an open competition for all the great architectural firms to design its new headquarters in New York. Out of 5000 entries. Only 100 were selected and told to put up their projects for panel discussions. Our company was one of them which got selected among the top 100. We were a very small firm with 10 people working their asses of everyday. So me and my chief architect Lavin went to New York together. The place was hosted in a huge temporary hall to accommodate 10,000 people. Well that's how rich people show of their money...making everything look grand. So we arrived at the airport a day earlier around 5:00 AM. Cursing the jet lag which made my skull break into pieces because of the head pain, we booked a taxi. Lavin had already been here once due to some conference. So when I passed all these huge buildings which were no more a 10-storey apartment but a skyscraper. I was thinking how times have changed. We reached Alvenet hotel New York, the hotel bookings and other expenses were taken care by the WS company itself. So being in this hotel was like a dream. With all the lavish interiors and the lighting and furniture worth crores. It was a palace of jewels, with architecture screaming on all the walls. The intricate designs on the columns and ceilings gave a rich look to the whole lobby place, with a central fountain and melodious calming piano music in the backdrop. Everything fitted perfectly. Lavin went near the booking counter to get our suite rooms while I bought the luggage. Although it should be the other way around, I dint mind doing the labour. Lavin came up to me with a worried expression and I knew that they had booked only one room. ' Ummm...Spring I guess they mistook me to be a girl and they have booked only one room' he said scratching his head. Oh dint I mention Lavin's full name is Ar. Rosaline Lavin, so people mistake him to be a girl. It was a common problem which I faced with the clients. So I have gotten used to it by now. Lavin is my partner and we both started the firm together. Its called HEALING SPACES. He is a decent, kind and polite man whose a little clumsy, when it comes to handling odd jobs. But still he is a very well-versed with structural and building material knowledge, while I'm good in designing and planning. So we go well together. ' its ok chill. We can use one room together. No big deal. We slept in the company a lot of times and its also easier to discuss about the presentations' I said camly. We gave our bags to the staff and took the lift. When I saw the person I thought I would never see. Only a brief glimpse was enough for my heart to shatter into pieces before the doors closed.
