ZACK: His unbeatable revenge

Chapter 2

Everyone murmured among themselves as they heard what Zack said to the emperor's face not caring if he would be punished again.

The emperor looked at him for a while and then averted his gaze to the mages "I have summoned you all here because today a duel would hold between my son's and some of the strongest mage here in sangim, this duel would also determine who is compatible for the throne and it would also make me know your strength and weakness" The emperor said looking at everyone with cold eyes.

He chuckled lightly when he heard what his father said, deep down he knew he wouldn't stand a chance against the least skilled mage not to talk of the most skilled mage in the whole of Gogae. He could feel the gaze of his brothers on him, he could hear their mocking sound, he could sense all of their movement but he cared less about it. It wasn't like he had ever dreamt of being emperor even when he was the first son.

"Juan, come forward, you would fight against Hyun sik" The emperor commanded as he went over to the throne and sat there watching the duel as it was about to start.

"No one is expected to interfere in the duel and if anyone dies as the duel goes on, no one will be held accountable," The chief guard said, handing over a sword to Juan and Hyun Sik.

Juan is the last son of the emperor and the most skilled, rumours have it that he could control all four factors of nature but no one has ever seen him use his powers before. All the mages anticipated the scene as they'd heard a lot about his skill but never got to see it.

"You may begin!" The chief guard said as he gave way for both opponents to fight for dominance. Hyun came forward and lifted his sword to attack but Juan was quick enough to defend himself by blocking the sword from hitting any part of his body.

They both attacked and defended themselves as no one was gaining dominance in the duel. Juan smirked as he lifted his hands and pushed them forward into the air and a thick wind was created, blowing vigorously around the training ground. All the mage ran for shelter but that didn't stop him a bit, he lifted his left hand and a bubble of water emanated from it, he joined both hands and then released it afterward causing a huge force to pull out of his hands and hit Hyun who fell to the floor almost lifeless and blood gushed out of his mouth.

The eyes of everyone were filled with surprise as no mage in the whole of Gogae was able to control water and wind not to talk of merging both powers to form a powerful repelling force. According to the spell book, anyone struck with such power could die Instantly.

"Well done Juan, you're your father's son," The emperor said with a smile.

He looked over to the side of Zack as the smile that was once on his face was quickly replaced with a frown "Zack, come forward, you would fight against park mol" The king said, still looking at him coldly.

Everyone gasped for breath when they heard the name, park mol is the best mage in Gogae as he could control three factors of nature effortlessly. And Zack won't stand a chance against him, he might not get to survive it.

He looked at his mum as she was subbing silently looking at him with an expressionless face. He knew his father did this on purpose pack mol is the strongest mage in the whole of Gogae rumours have it that he is a direct pupil of Emperor joon the first and only mage to have control of half of the sky.

He walked forward to the center of the training center as a sword was handed over to him. He took a deep breath and then heard the sword firmly in his hands.

"Fight!" The chief guard said with an evil grin on his face. Park mol attacked almost immediately not giving Zack enough room to prepare himself; he played with his sword in the air like he had full control of the wind. Zack dashed angrily towards him raising his sword for an attack but Park was quick enough to create a bubble shield around him countering the attack effortlessly.

"You should really stop trying to beat me, Zack, you're no match for me," He said with a smirk on his face as he stamped his fit forcefully on the floor coursing the ground to waver. Zack lost his balance immediately and pack mol took advantage of this and pointed his sword to his neck signifying defeat.

It was obvious to everyone that he took it easy on Zack as he never wanted to hurt him and this increased his mockery. The emperor looked at him in rage as his once white eyes turned red all of a suddenly "Escort Zack out of the city and out of the continent, he would no longer be considered part of Gogae he is a threat to everyone and a vessel to imoogi, take him out and make sure he is not seen in Gogae again, he is a disgrace to the Yeon family!" The king said and stormed out of the training center leaving everyone surprised at the sudden turn of events.

He knew this would happen, a day where he would no longer be considered a member of Gogae, a day where he would be sent out like he was a plague. For a moment his mind contested the reality of the situation, the possibility of a father sending his own son out forever without an air of guilt or pain; it was almost like he always wanted him out.

He couldn't look at his mother at least not now, he didn't want to see the pain in those beautiful Grey eyes, he didn't want to see her tears. He was a terrible son, he didn't deserve a mother like her.
