Killian’s pov Killian scoffed, leaning back in his chair. “I don’t have a mother," he said, his voice was cold, his expression hardening. Soren studied him for a moment before speaking. “I know you’re angry with her and I know you’re hurt because she left you when you were little—” “Don’t,” Killian warned, his voice dropping into a dangerous warning. "The woman that abandoned me all those years ago is dead to me." Soren exhaled. "You don't know what-" Killian’s jaw clenched. "I said I don't want to hear about that woman. Leave and don't ever think of coming back." Soren opened his mouth to respond, but before he could say anything, there was a soft knock at the door. Killian closed his eyes briefly, forcing his anger back before calling out. “Come in," he gritted out.
