Killian’s pov The clearing at the edge of the water was bathed in the soft, golden hues of the morning sun. Killian moved, scanning the area until he found the perfect spot a smooth, flat patch of grass beneath the overhanging branches of an ancient willow, shaded from the wind and completely secluded from the world. He unrolled a thick, plush plaid blanket across the grass and smoothed out the corners. Placing the woven picnic basket in the center, he turned to Eva and offered a gentle nod toward the soft fabric. "Sit," he said, his voice soft.
