Damon looked over at the stranger and smiled ruefully, “You look like how I feel,” he muttered. “Definitely had better days,” Micah agreed. Alicia was still standing by the door completely in shock at how many bullets would have hit her if Damon hadn’t taken every slug they had. Her eyes jerked up when she heard Micah’s voice next to Damon. Before she could start toward it, someone yelled her name. “Alicia,” Steven called from his cell. “Get the keys from the one with no head. They’re in his left front shirt pocket.” Alicia grabbed the keys from the shirt pocket and rushed over to Steven. The way he was pulling on the chains, she was afraid he’d hurt himself more than he already was. His face was bruised and he had blood all over his clothes but she didn’t care. She hugged him tightly
