Chapter one; Rain
Rain.
The condensed moisture of the atmosphere falling visibly in separate drops.
It hadn’t stopped for days.
I stared outside looking at the liquid poem, as each drops shares a verse of nature’s story. It was very soothing.
I was always one to always concentrate on every information around me. ‘Weird’ the other kids would call me.
Well that’s one way to look at it but I’d prefer an observer or rather contemplative.
I’ve never fit into the normal kids narrative but in all honesty I’d rather not. Bring a cheeky cheerleader who ran after some boy because he wears leather jacket and is good at beating nerds isn’t exactly fun.
A family’s princess; a girl born into a home where all cherish her and keeps her always adored and treated with gentle affection. She's often the center of attention, with her playful spirit and infectious laughter. She's a bit of a dreamer, with a heart full of kindness and a love for all things beautiful.
The only thing that fits me in that description is the part where a girl was born, my father ignores my existence, my mother believes I killed my younger brother, Alex in that car accident or at the very least wished it was me instead and my elder brother Andrew well we talk from time to time but not react to each other the way loving siblings would or not the way him and Alex did.
Not that I mind or anything, it has always been this way, even before the accident, I had always been the outcast but before the accident mother actually tried to relate with me but now her precious son is gone, you can guess how that ship sailed.
My father, Mr Eric stone; one of the biggest businessmen in Florida who had several companies that produces techs like cars, electric home appliances and has a real estate company. He sits with a net worth of 900million dollars currently on his way to becoming a billionaire in the next few years.
My mother, Mrs seraphina Doyle-stone; a retired model who now has a skincare brand of hers and has a net worth of 70million dollars.
My brother, Andrew stone; a seventeen year old 6’2 heartthrob, not nonchalant and not too chalant, loves w*****g, reading and working out, he’s in the 12th grade and also the top of his class.
Me, Echo stone; sixteen year old 5’8 outcast, in the 11th grade, also the top of my class, I love reading, writing, learning about cars, solitude.
That’s basically all about my immediate family except my younger brother Alex who died when I was fifteen and he was twelve.
We had been going together for an event for nepo kids while Andrew was feeling under the weather and unfortunately our driver didn’t see the logs on the main road to our destination, they both died while I sustained some injuries.
Looking outside the window I saw the rain had stopped and realized I had spaced out. ‘What a shame’, I thought and looked at the time.
It was 5am.
Time to prepare for school.
I got up from my bed and entered the bathroom preparing for my first day of junior year.
Another year of listening to teachers who most of which hates their jobs and schooling with students who most of which hates schooling
But who am I to judge?
I hate it too……..
