God forbid!” said Kenneth, snapping his fingers and mimicking the way women shook when they were rejecting evil pronouncements. It was utterly ridiculous to see a man acting like a woman. We could not help ourselves. Mirabelle and I burst out laughing. “That woman cornered me and said she came to visit her daughter in ATL. I just said, ‘Yes, ma’ like one hundred times while she talked as if we were long lost friends. Till today, I don’t know how she recognized me,” said Mirabelle, finishing her story.
