CHAPTER 7The first thing, or maybe one of the first things, people usually complain about when they arrive in Lagos is the heat. Searing heat. Even though I visited Nigeria at least once every two or three years, the heat was always a surprise to me. Forget that Houston had triple-digit heat waves in the summer. It still shocked me that Nigeria, or specifically, Lagos was so hot. After three days of being stuck indoors, I decided that it was time to go out and explore a bit.
