I went to the shower, brushed my teeth, dried off and got dressed. I put on the usual deodorant and perfume, which is something I rarely do, and got in my car. I drove to Lucas's house, and when I was about to knock on the door, nerves took over me, and I was about to back away, when Lucas' father opened the door.
- Trouble in paradise? – he asks me with a smirk.
I stutter a little and run a hand through my hair.
- Lucas is there?- I end up asking.
- No. He had left, but by the look on his face, he must not have gone to a party.
I blush and Lucas' dad continues.
- He must have gone to see the sea. You know how he is. When he has a hot head, he either pedals or watches the sea. May I know what happened?
- My stupidity happened. - I said, lowering my head.
