When She Says No

    Calista lived a good and happy life with her parents as she was an only child. She was good in school and all the boys pinned over her, but really she preferred to be a wallflower sticking to herself and her friends Chris and Beth. Chris and Beth were complete opposites despite being twins. They were all content with their small group as there was only a handful of people from the pack that went to their school and they felt humans were a bit hard to get along with, so instead they stuck to each other like glue.      Calista had long dirty blond hair and the brightest blue-green eyes that had little gold flecks filtering out from her pupils. She had soft yet beautifully sculpted features. Her high cheekbones and soft plump lips made for a good structure for her face. Her cheeks are a little rosy and her eyelashes are so long and naturally curled they kiss her cheeks every time she blinks. She was fairly short standing at a simple 4’11 but it suited her well with her small features. As for Chris and Beth they look like their parents just hit copy and paste when these two charmers were made. They both had drop dead looks and turned all heads with their lightly tanned and muscular bodies. They both had almond shaped eyes that were a light brown almost graham cracker shade with little bronze flakes guiding to the outer corners of their iris’. Chris stood at a very fitting 6’4 and his sister at an astounding 5’7. In comparison to Calista they were giants and it fit them well as they would protect their friend with their lives. They were like the siblings she never had.     As Calista was shutting her locker she heard two voices she knew all to well say ‘boo’ in unison and she jumped, “OH MY SWEET SNICKERDOODLES,” she the now laughing Chris and Beth with the books that she had just grabbed from her locker before saying, “Was that really necessary you gigantic buffoons?”     Beth gasped and Chris grabbed his heart in a mock hurt before dramatically saying, “Oh bunny how you wound us.”      She let out a soft chuckle at the nickname they had anointed her with when they were seven. Yes she’d been dealing with them for that long shocking how she puts up with it I know. “Oh shut your trap you giant buffoon,” she said before softly laughing again.     Beth interjected before Calista or Chris could say anything else, “Annnyway, you guys excited to graduate next week?”       “Why yes of course my dear sister, but whatever shall we do to leave our mark on this dreary and utterly dull school,”Chris inquired in a truly terrible british accent. All three of them started walking down the hallway laughing heads turning in their direction, envy and lust written on all the faces of those who stared at the trio as they passed.     “Well I have some brilliant ideas and by some I mean a notebook full of ideas as I have been planning for this very time since the summer after junior year, but I wanna know what you dumb-dumbs have in mind before sharing my brilliance.” Beth offered a small look of mischief in her eye to accompany the new information that she had shared with her brother and their best friend.      “Why queen of mischief we all have thought of at least a bit or two that we can pull for this insufferable structure of absolute poppycock, but I doubt that anything we could think of could compare to her highness's brilliancy, ” Calista said in her own equally terrible british accent. Earning a chuckle from the twins as they walked to their favorite hangout spot behind the school as they had a free first period, but they liked to spend the time together so they always met before school to eat breakfast together and chat.     “Well it’s a Friday, so why don’t you come over to our house for a sleepover Calista? We can watch movies and eat junk and talk about our ideas together. Dad has some pack business to help the alpha with and mom is on patrol tonight so it’ll just be the three of us.” Beth and Chris’ dad was the pack beta and their mom was one of the top female warriors. Calista smiled before responding.     “Sure I’ll be by at around 5:30. Do you want me to bring anything with me?” She asked the twins, they only had a while before the bell for the second period would ring so they were rapping up their conversation before splitting. They all had different classes.     “Oooo-oo-oooo can you bring the stuff for your special caramel corn please?” Chris asked with puppy dog eyes. He was convinced that no one would say no to a guy who makes puppy dog eyes and it’s worked for him thus far so he keeps using them.     “Sure,” Castila responded before the bell rang, “Well I guess I’ll see you guys in 4th period.” they all had P.E. together for their third periods it was one of the few classes that they all had together so they always messed around and raced a lot as they were all athletically gifted. It was one of the perks of being a werewolf.     “See you bunny,” Chris said with a cheek grin before giving her a quick side hug.     “Yeah yeah dork. Hurry, it's my turn with bunny.” Beth said before earning a chuckle from Calista and giving her a hug and giving her a friendly kiss on the cheek.      “Bye Goliaths,” Calista chuckled before walking away to her favorite class art.
