After Chamuel slain Leviathan the Archangels charge the remaining Demon Lords. Chamuel leads the assault
"Asmodeus retreat now, bring with you Lucifer and I will hold them back" words coming from Belphegor
"Are you sure?" Asmodeus seems worried
"I will be fine, now go," Belphegor said then we gave Asmodeus a smile
Asmodeus and Lucifer make a run for it
"The Demon Lords are running away" an angel shouted
"I am on it" Chamuel chases after the escaping Demon Lords but Belphegor immediately intercepted Chamuel. With one blow Chamuel dropped to the ground. The Elite Knight comes to the rescue to catch Chamuel but it was a big mistake. Out of nowhere a blow in the back struck the Elite and bringing her down as well
"How in the world" Michael was shocked
Belphegor went back to his original position. Laying in the ground and seems nothing happened.
"This is big trouble. Tell me Gabriel do you have any plans to get those two out of there" Michael asked worryingly
"Sorry Michael but I have nothing," Gabriel said shaking
Gabriel cast a ray of light towards Belphegor and it nearly struck the target
"That's a close one Gabriel" Michael motivates
Gabriel tried it once again but Belphegor immediately evades it and strikes the two knights
The two knights scream in pain
"Gabriel stop! We are being too careless. We must first find a way to drag those two out of there" Michael proposed
"But if we tried to pull them out we too are going to end up as that" Gabriel said
"You have a point but we don't have many choices. Here is the plan I will try to take then first when he attacks me you quickly grab the two and retreat" Michael proposed
"But what about you? Are you going to be okay?" Gabriel seems worried
"I will be okay besides I am a tank and an angel of protection. I must protect you guys even it cost me my life" Michael said
"Okay, I trust you. Let's go" Gabriel had no choice
Michael enters the Demon Lord's territory and as expected it attacks Michael. With a blow in the chest, Michael almost dropped but he tried to endure it. Gabriel quickly picked up the two. Belphegor noticed it and immediately responded to that. Belphegor struck Gabriel but nothing happened. The angels escaped Belphegor. Michael seems unable to move. Belphegor then assaults Michael with a blow in the stomach Michael dropped to the ground
"Michael" Gabriel shouted and tries to save Michael but the two knights hold Gabriel's feet
"Let go of me I need to save Michael," Gabriel said as he struggles to cut loose
"Don't waste Michaels sacrifice just to save us, please don't" the Elite said crying
"That's right Michael used the Damage Bond at you so that we may escape unhurt," Chamuel said
"Is that the reason why I didn't felt anything" Gabriel uncertain of the events
"Yes, Michael took the full damage so don't be reckless," Chamuel said
Gabriel calmed down
"Okay I will, please let go of me now," Gabriel said, and looks like he finally calmed down
The knights let go of Gabriel. The knights stood up but barely walk
A flash of lightning immediately struck Belphegor. It was Zadkiel but his attack was easily blocked.
"Damn your fast, now get Michael" Zadkiel ordered
Gabriel quickly carried Michael. Belphegor tried to stop them but Zadkiel stopped him. The two Archangels escaped. Zadkiel notice Belphegor's eyes I look like a raging cyclone
"Tell me Belphegor what's with your eyes," Zadkiel asked
But Belphegor didn't say a thing
"Fine keep it for yourself" Zadkiel attacks using his second dagger. Belphegor noticed it and shifts his blade to block the second attack and he blocked it. Zadkiel fall back and joined the group
"Be careful with his eyes it can sense a sudden change in the atmosphere. Even the slightest move he can predict" Zadkiel warned his allies
"Now you know about that, I must go. I still have errands to do" Zadkiel said
Zadkiel immediately left
Michael has his senses back
"You stupid Michael, next time don't do that again" Gabriel seems grumpy
"I think I have a plan," Chamuel said
"What is it Chamuel," the Elite asked
"Listen up if we could get rid of his sight we may stand a chance against him. If Gabriel can land a hit using his blinding light I think we knights can kill him" Chamuel informed
"But Chamuel he is too fast," the Elite said
"That's not a problem I could use my powers to slow him down and my Elite will try to kill him" Chamuel proposed
"What if he is blind but still he has the skill in combat," Gabriel asked
"Then Michael will guard you using Divine Protection or that Damage Bond," Chamuel said
"Isn't that too dangerous for Michael" Gabriel seems worried
"No it's fine Gabriel I am on it," Michael said
"Here's what we need to do. I will cut his speed using my freezing spell. Then Gabriel uses the light to blind Belphegor if the first strike is missed I will make an ice pillar to refract the light directly to Belphegor. Once he is blinded my Elite and I will launch the attack. Michael will be the support in case something happened." Chamuel dictated
After the planning is done they quickly made their move
Chamuel pierced the sword to the creating a field of ice but Belphegor jumped to dodge the ice not knowing that Gabriel is above him fully charged to cast. Belphegor looked and is immediately blinded. The two knights intercepted Belphegor and begun areal combat and still, they are no match against him. Then a loud noise came from behind they took a look and saw a giant reptile-like monster. It is the manifestation of the Sin of Envy a Sea Monster. The angels quickly fall back.
"Gabriel go to the main battlefield and command all my tanks to retreat to the zone and prepare for Aegis and as for you replace them in battle," Michael commanded
"We will hold that Sea Monster until the Aegis starts," Chamuel said
Chamuel and his Elite Knight battle the Sea Monster and Gabriel went on his way to the main battlefield. After some time a warrior angel came
"Michael all tanks are connected for Aegis" and the angel immediately left upon telling the news
Michael then bonds the two knights
"Don't hold back knights you have a Damage Bond" Michael informed
Michael fearfully enters Belphegor's territory and a fast blow in the stomach welcomed him but it was nothing. All the tanks in the zone bonded their damage links at Michael so the damage dealt is distributed. That's how the Aegis works.
Even with blinded eyes Belphegor's speed still hasn't decreased. Michael can't land a single hit and Belphegor manages to strike Michael in rapid succession. Some tanks dropped on their knees because the damage dealt it higher than the heal
"If this continues we are screwed. My tanks will not be able to sustain the bond" Michael said in his mind
"If there is only a way to slow him down," Michael said to himself
Michael once more tried to attack Belphegor. Michael's attack is blocked but he manages to hold Belphegor and seal it with Earth. Michael took advantage and strike Belphegor but it was easily blocked and a counterattack that hits the seal. The same process went over and over until Belphegor broke the seal and escapes. Michael running out of options he decided to fall back
"Is this my limit? I barely made a contact on him?" Michael losing hope
"I can't protect others if I can't defeat him. I must give my all to defeat him. It is all or nothing. I am the Archangel of Diligence after all. If plan A didn't work move to the next plan until you succeed" Michael motivates himself
"It's time" Michael unleashed a strong aura and his fist is covered with the terrain
"Behold the Gauntlet of Earth," Michael said
Michael charges towards Belphegor but the attack was easily dodged than a pillar of earth raised from nowhere that Belphegor bumped into. Michael charges once more and almost landed a hit. Belphegor seems startled. The same technique was used against Belphegor and after some time Michael landed a direct hit and knocks Belphegor down. The terrain immediately covered Belphegor's body and starts compressing it
Bones cracking and a strong gust of wind seems raging inside the compressing terrain. Belphegor didn't manage to escape and was crushed in the process. A dark apparition came out of the terrain and it takes form as a giant snake with the same eyes as Belphegor. The snake is the manifestation of the Sin of Sloth
The snake curls up and seems ready to strike but Michael stands firm in front of the giant snake.
