Chasing His Rejected Luna

HIS EX IS BACK

Emily's POV

I gazed at the woman who held Jasper closely. She looked extremely innocent and pretty. She wore a white and blue evening dress, with long beautiful brown hair hanging loosely on her back. She had just a little makeup on her face which gave her a fairy like appearance.

When did she come back?

"Luna Emily, see now even your marriage is in danger. Better pull him quickly back to you. There is still time. Do no not let your opportunity go away."

How can I stop him from leaving when I couldn't even truly make him fall in love with me after being married for three years? It was hard enough to make him mine. I couldn't even make him smile. Now, see how joyful he is with his true love, his long lost love.

Jasper's gaze met mine as I watched them, and even Ivy saw me and gave me a smile. She left Jasper and came over to me. I didn't know how to respond.

"Hi, Emily. It's nice to meet you. My dad has told me a lot about you," she said, giving me a hug. I hugged her back, though I didn't really want to.

"You tried to take my man, Emily. But I'm back now, and I'm going to reclaim what's mine. He only loves me. You couldn't even make him yours, even though you were meant to be together. Can you see how strong our love is? You're nothing compared to me. I can easily remove you from our lives with just a snap of my fingers, and there's nothing you can do about it." Her words shocked me.

She moved away and gave me a mean smirk. "Come on," she said, pulling me along to where Jasper was standing.

"It's true, she's really pretty and graceful. You're lucky to have her as your partner,Jasper ," I just scoffed at her in my mind.

My wolf Lycra was furious and thought, "Who does she think she is? She acts like she's the only innocent person left in the world."

"She's always been this way. What's surprising about that? But I'm shocked to see our mate, who seems to have forgotten us now that he's found his old love," I thought, looking at Jasper with bitterness.

I'm really glad for you, Jasper. You've finally decided to move forward. It's going to be tough for me to forget about you, but I'll give it a shot. I hope I find my special someone soon, who will treat me as nicely as you treat Emily." Hearing her say that made me feel sick. I really wish I could kill her.

"I still remember how you used to take care of me and spoil me back then," Ivy said with a dreamy voice, and I clenched my teeth.

"I bet you treat your Mate even better than you did with me." I glanced at Jasper , who was looking at me, but as soon as our eyes met, he looked away, which really stung.

"You like fireworks, right? Why don't we go out and have some fun? Everyone else is enjoying themselves." His sudden change of topic surprised me.

"Sure, let's go." Ivy got excited and held onto Jasper's arm like she was his wife.

They started walking away, leaving me by myself. Then, Ivy stopped and turned back to me.

"Emily, please come and have fun with us. We'd really like you to join." She spoke so sweetly that it almost felt like my sugar level was going to shoot up because of her over-sweetness.

"Emily, why not come with us? Ivy is asking you so nicely." Jasper's words stung a bit.

He could have invited me himself. I would have gladly gone with them. But his choice of words made it awkward. I've always listened to him. How could I refuse now?

"Okay," I said, not very eager to join. I felt out of place. Even though I was his wife and Luna, it seemed like I was just in the way while they enjoyed each other's company.

I heard how people had started murmuring about them. "It's sad how Alpha Jasper treated Luna Emily like she was nothing and spent the festival with his old girlfriend. Poor Luna Emily."

"True, but this might be for the best. Now Luna Emily knows her worth. She was so proud to be with Alpha Jasper, always loving him like crazy and being too protective.Alpha Jasper never really cared for her that way."

Their words hurt a lot. Every word felt like a stab in my heart. I stayed silent because they were speaking the harsh truth about my life that I didn't want others to know. There's a saying that no matter how hard you try to hide the truth, it will come out eventually.

Jasper marked me to let others know we were a loving couple, but he never kissed me or made love to me. It was really sad to see him with another girl, and it seemed like he was only happy when she was around. Now that she's back, he's happy again.

“Emily, stay with Ivy. Alpha King is calling for me.” Saying that Jasper handed me his firecracker and walked ahead to Alpha King Mason.

As I turned around, someone bumped into me, and the firecracker fell from my hand onto Ivy's long dress. In an instant, her dress caught fire.

Ivy yelled, "Emily!"

I quickly looked for water to help her, but there was none. So I grabbed a cloth and hurried to put out the fire.

"Jasper! Help me!" Ivy was still yelling out of fear while I was attempting to stop the fire.

A few people arrived with water and splashed it on her, and eventually, the fire went out.

"Jasper," Ivy sobbed and hugged him, hiding her face in Jasper's chest. It hurt me to see another woman in my man's arms. Jasper wrapped his coat around her as her wet dress stuck to her body.

"Are you alright?" Jasper asked her anxiously. But she just kept crying.

It was painful to see my partner so worried about his ex, who wasn't even slightly burned, while he didn't seem to care about the person who burned their hands trying to save her.

It's clear that my love and patience couldn't match his love for her. I guess his love is stronger than mine. That's why, even after three years of marriage as his destined mate, I haven't been able to truly win his heart.

"Luna Emily, why would you do this to Ivy? Are you so envious that you burned her dress?" I was shocked to hear this accusation. I quickly looked to see who said this, and it was Ivy sister, who wrongly accused me.

"Yes, Emily. Why did you do this to me? I was happy for both of you. I had accepted that Jasper and I were over and decided to move on, so why did you try to hurt me?" The shock I felt was huge, it was like everything fell apart when Ivy also blamed me.

I immediately looked at Jasper to explain myself.

"Jasper, believe me. It was an accident….."

SLAP!

The sound echoed around the yard, and I felt a sharp pain in my cheek. I looked at him in disbelief, holding my cheek. Tears filled my eyes.

I couldn't believe Jasper slapped me because of her. He believed her instead of me. He didn't even let me explain.

"What are you doing, Jasper? Are you crazy?" I heard Beta Zayn's voice, who was standing nearby.

"I did what had to be done. Beta Zayn, you must take her home. This is a command." His threatening voice deeply affected me, and tears fell from my eyes.

"I don't want to see her near me. Remove her from my view." I shut my eyes, unable to handle it any longer. It was overwhelming. I had never felt so humiliated.

"Beta Zayn, please, take me home." I held onto Beta Zayn's arm for support. The pain in my heart was growing, making it difficult to breathe.
