"This is a message to address the nation and the world if they are listening. I am known as Picasso a member of the Few that is working out of Beta branch of the Few. We would like to clear up a few things that we think that needs to be explained. First, there has been accounts of who I may be. I would like to state to the world and most importantly to the parents and family of the boy in question Jet Moss, I am sorry that this happened to your son, I am sorry that this ever happened. But I am not the boy you think I am. I wish I was to give you some closure that was not such sad information." The masked figure stated looking right down the camera.
"He was someone important to you and your family and I can not make the sadness and the grief go away. We have looked throughout our system to see if he is here somewhere within the Few and he isn't here. Anywhere. He is gone and we can not express out sympathy enough. We have been through this, we have also been through god knows how much death and loss as well and we know what it is like the grieve. We all feel the loss of the people we love and the people we care about. And we are not here to judge any of you for feeling the way you feel." He paused, "but our feelings are no less important that yours. Our family, our friends the people we love have been targeted and we are listening. We know some of you see the injustice in this, they can see what we are fighting for. What we are dying for and what we are dying for and why we are risking everything. Because we are human beings. Humans who need to be treated fairly for all that we believe. But, we need to be heard. You have to let us live." He continued.
"Second, we are aware that the trail of The Prophet is due to start over the next few days. We are not going to stop, we are never going to let this go and when he is taken to the stand in whatever way. And in whatever punishment is given to him. We will keep fighting." He paused, "the parents of Jet Moss, he was young and did not deserve to die. But I would like to say that this is not me, the voice was used to mask my real voice then the random manipulator may have come up a voice similar to his. We need to put these things behind us. The things that make us different are the things that they have put in place. The things that make us the same are the things that no chip can ever take away. We all feel love, hurt, sadness and we need to focus on the things that make us the same rather than different." He said calmly, "if the Prophet can hear this. We will keep fighting until we get what is fair." He added. "And to those who agree with us, come home stand with us, to those who do not. Don't stand in our way, unless your willing to go down with it. We are the Few remember us."
"Cut." King said from behind the camera. "Perfect Jet lets get that to post production and get that out on the air as soon as we can. Alright by you Red?"
"Absolutely." Red said walking behind the camera next to King. "You happy with that Jet?"
"Yes thanks," Jet replied. Removing the mask and placing it on the table in front of him. "Did it sound okay?"
"Sounded fine." Red said walking over to Jet.
It had been 4 months since the attack on the Level Lounge. 4 months since the Prophet was taken by the Alliance. Jet Moss had been working almost none stop with King and other people heavily involved with Propaganda and Communication. He had created a new art piece that was circulating. A symbol of the Spark. An image of a blacken background and a had in shadow with a white lighter aflame. With the press coverage of the Prophet's trial due to start any day now the youth were protesting and crying for things to be more fair. Jet felt somewhat an accomplishment due to this, he had taken a great pride in being involved so highly in helping the Few in this way. He had, had his hair cut it was more shaven at the side and lighter in color. He had got his lip pierced, thanks to King, and he had spent more time in the gym and was starting to pad out more in his muscles. He and Abi had been on a few missions since and they were getting more confident running the streets causing trouble. Abi had been working a lot with Blue and Red, something about a program they were writing. Jet didn't understand and didn't attempt to. He and Blue spent a lot of time together chatting. Ever since Blue and Red had found out about the baby they had all been a lot closer. Few knew about her being pregnant and people were starting to realize that her clothing choice had changed over the last few weeks, she had gone for more floaty, loose fitting clothing, to hide the start of a very noticeable bump. She had fully recovered from the stab to her side, even though she says there is a bad scar there now. Nothing a new tattoo wouldn't fix she would say often. Apart from the uncertainty of everything the last four months had been the same. Max and Rex were...well who knows. Abi and Cleo were still as strong as before. Jet was taking things super slow with Kate, who had been hiding out for a few days under the city in the sewer system. Rue had been talking to a Hispanic guy but nothing much was known about him really she had kept things rather silent on that front. Red had been helping with how to deal with the press circulating that Jet was alive and hopefully this could be put to rest. It was keeping her mind off the fact they had no clue how someone from the Alliance had gotten into her system and looked into her.
"You have done well Jet." King said smiling, the three of them had been spending a lot of time together and Jet could see why being on King's good side was a positive thing. "I was wondering if you and yourself Mona would like to come to dinner tomorrow night, myself and some selected guests will be meeting in my apartments at 8pm tomorrow night for some dinner, wine and some conversation. I insist you both come."
"Us as in the two of us?" Red asked.
"Well you know I have only the fondest intentions when it comes to your beloved and your sister, I do want to discuss matters that...well do not concern them."
"And what's to stop us from telling them anyway?" Jet asked.
"Nothing." He added, "its completely your call."
"So, you want the two of us and...who else are we talking about?" Red asked.
"Just some important people."
"You mean the Pack?" Jet asked.
"Well some of them will be there of cause." King responded, "but not only. And not everyone in the Pack will be there." He smiled warmly, "you don't have to come of cause but I think it will only help things. I have some ideas as to our next step as it were."
"Oh?" Red asked, "and you need us there?"
"Of cause." He smirked. "Dress appropriately," he added walking out with a smile.
"You don't trust him at all right?" Jet asked.
"I trust the weather more than him," she said glancing. Jet looked at her confused, "sorry English saying, weather is very unpredictable over that side of the pond." She says smiling. "I don't want to spend more time with him that I am already, the moment he finds out about, you know," she nodded to her stomach, "well that's me as good as monitored by the psychos of the Few."
"I guess that's true. And I can't imagine a certain Mr Washington will take the news to well." Jet joked.
"Oh I think he will take it far, far from well."
"Did you know he loves you?" Jet asked.
"I knew he did," she replied. "But at the end of the day, i'm not his. Never was." She replied smirking.
"Yeah lucky ol' Blue."
"f**k you." She joked. "You know as well as I do he wouldn't change a thing. You should have seen his face when we had our first scan last month. You'd have thought that he was been given his sight for the first time." She replied, "like a kid of Christmas."
"He's excited."
"He can be, he doesn't have to push the bloody thing out." The two of them started walking towards the elevator.
"That is a very valid point. Just the thought is enough to make my d**k go inside my body and never want to come back out." He shuddered.
"You are such an artist yet some of the things you say are far from artistic." She added.
"Yeah..." He laughed. "Where you meeting him?"
"Basement? Abi should be down there are you coming down?"
"Going to get a coffee and have a smoke."
"f**k you!" She replied.
"Sorry!" Jet held his hand up defensively, "out of everything that's the thing you dislike the most about being pregnant?"
"It helps me deal with stress, and right now I can not use that as my way out." She looked to her feet. "I do not miss it."
"Keep telling yourself that Red."
"To be honest its the only thing left of my junkie days that I needed to quit. Now I can."
"Silver Linings?" He replied.
"f****d Kate yet?"
"Nope." He said smirking, "next question."
"Still hung up on Bex?"
"Yep." He added, "but I am trying and Kate is good for us, we are good together." He added, "if its meant to be its meant to be."
"I guess you're right."
"You and Arro are testament to that." He replied smiling, "never seen people more fitting for each other than you two are for each other."
"Yeah can't help but how devoted I am to that twat." She smirked. "Love of my life and all."
The elevator door opened and Jet stepped out. "I'll be down soon." He replied as the doors shut and Jet walked out to start another day.
"Jet?" Max yelled.
"Hello there?"
"Tuesday. The trial starts Tuesday it'll be on live. Do you think Red and Blue are going to do anything?"
"I-"
"Like they can do anything." The vile tone of Rai said walking in. "It's like an army base in there, what are they going to do?" She added, "they are not that good. The only man that could get out of there is the Prophet and if its been 4 months without any attempt to get out... not going to happen." She said walking away.
"She is as bad as Caro." Max said coldly.
"But thankfully she isn't around as much."
"No she's in other people's bed that's why." Both the boys laugh. "I best be going." He said patting his shoulder. "Tell Abs to text me would you. She's been offline for the last few days. Us gays need to check in once and a while with each other. Its better than therapy." He said walking away. Therapy. Wonder if by the end of everything that will even be an option anymore.
