The wolves were stareing at me with hunger in their eyes. Someone was also scareing our animals, judgeing by the sound of their terrified shreiks and the rampage further. I was acting by instinct and before i could comprehend What i was doing, i shot an arrow at one of the leapimg wolves. I hit my target, closed the window and went back To The house to find granny. She was already behind my door and startled me. "grandma! What the hell! I could have Hurt you! Whats going on?" She chuckled. Like What the hell is She loseing her marbles? "you youngsters startle easily. I know you were planning to leave the same moment you decided to." "but, no i wasnt..." "yes, you were. Im old, not stupid." She chuckled again. How is She so damn calm!? We are under attack! "I know you want to follow Arthur and even if i think its the worst desicion ever.. - i wont stop you." Like What the actual... "i could not leave right now gran. We need to run..!" "No. I wont run from My home dear." "Gran, if we dont, we will die. We have to go." "Nah.. Im never running. You can run or you can stay and find out some of my secrets." She smiled. Not her usual smile, but one full of mischief. She dragged me downstairs and opened the cellar, to where She never allowed me. She dragged me into the cellar. I was stunned by the force She used. I had never seen my granny - this old fragile lady, to be so persistent, forceful and... ... So freakily happy? She was loseing her marbles for sure. We entered the dimly lit cellar. It was way bigger than i originally expected. "come on my dear. Dont be afraid. I will introduce you to Someone." She led me to the back corner. "gran, have you kept Someone here in prison?" "oh, no honey. He insisted comeing here and staying. He is an old friend. He didnt want you or Arthur to see him. He is stuck though.. In his spirit form. So He cant really talk." And then I saw it. Huge tiger-like creature in the darkest corner. Right next to the door we entered. It had gray fur with red stripes and red socks. Its eyes were white AS if it was blind. It grouched down because of the lack of room. It had long gracefull legs and Huge paws, its nose was wierdly long for a cat and ears were way too big. It looked at me like it knew who i was. I wanted to introduce myself, but My breath hitched in my throat, so i let out a groak. And then we heard the commotion upstairs. They had breaken in! "okay, we are running out of time. Since you havent met your spirit- animal, you will ride Klaus. You have your weapons and armour. Tie up your hair and saddle up. He will keep you safe in the hunt." granny said I did AS i was told and but a strange saddle on the tiger. " sorry Klaus. It seems so rude to climb on your back without talking to you and without getting to know you better. Im Kiara by the way." I couldnt offer him anything, but AS i was to hurry, i couldnt waste any time. I just scratched its head and signaled im ready. I looked AS my grandmother ran upstairs. Klaus was close behind. We got out of the house. Right when we were at safe distance, granny went up in flames! I couldnt move a muscle if i wanted to. When the flames were gone, there was a Huge phoenix with blue eyes and grey stripes all over. I knew it was her, but i couldnt believe it. I saw fur, claws and teeth engulfed by the flames AS klaus was running further away from the house. I was startles from my astonishment, when i felt something plummeting against my side. I nearly fell off klaus because of the impact. We were stopped by a mountain lion-like creature. It was big, vicious like grey cat with scars all over its body. It snarled at us. Klaus was so calm. Almost even felt happy? Why would he be happy? We are about to be ripped apart and he feels happy? Ohhh, now you've done it granny! You had a psyhco to protect me! Before i could get angry, the lion bounced and so did Klaus. They met in the air, i barely managed to get a hold a branch above them. Never want to get in the way of such big and deadly claws. They were full on destoyer mode those two. Blood splattered the tree trunks and fur was danceing in the wind and their tails, paws and teeth were like a blur. I saw anorher greature in the trees. Ohh s**t. We are outnumbered now! I need to help klaus. What can i do? Im just an appetizer for the huge cat. Ohh, right i have my weapons with me. Klaus was holding his end well, but i dont know, how many of those he could handle. I calmed my nerves, took a deep breath and release my arrow. I watched AS it hit its target. I took anorher arrow and waites for my opporunity. There! They distanced themselves from each other... Ah, They discovered me. I sent the arrow flying, just to miss my target and to become an target to the scarred lion! To my utter suprise it was stopped right before my face. I guess i pissed it off by killing one of them, it wouldnt have forgotten klaus otherwise. Klaus made Quick work on the injured lion and signaled me to get back on the saddle. We were on the road again.
