Rebirth : Apocalypse Hunter

Chapter 2

- Anthony's Bedroom, Estrada Family's Mansion, Denver, USA

[ 29 Days to Apocalypse ]

The room is designed with black paint and brightly lit, metallic silver furniture and a soft comfortable white King sized bed. Beside the bed there is two small metallic cupboards. 

On the bed there is a handsome man, with dark hair pale white skin and mermaid line sticking out from His silk robe. On the left cupboard, the smartphone is ringing with calls and the man on the bed could be seen sweating and His teeth are clenching hard.

" Ring! Ring...! Ring! Ring...! Ring! Ring...! Ring! Ring...! Ring! Ring...! "

When the smartphone rang for the 5th time, the man suddenly awoke and His eyes opened wide, expecting to feel the pain from Maverick's crazy torture and expecting Himself to be in hell. But after a few moments cautiously examining His conditions and the room He is in. He was deeply shocked!

" Wha-What?! Didn't I die?!!! Why am I in My old bedroom in Denver?? " Anthony muttered with a loud voice. Hearing Himself with a clear voice, not a hoarse and shrieking voice deepened His suspicions again. When suddenly His smartphone on the metallic cupboard started ringing again.

" Ring! Ring...! " when Anthony took the phone and see the caller id, He trembled hard and His eyes turned blood red. He picked up the call with a cold tone and said " Jim what do You need? " 

The caller, Jim seemed to be shocked by the treatment He is getting from this good brother of His. So He asked with a soft voice , a voice that tricked Anthony before to trust this man named Jim. " Brother? What happened is it a bad time? " Jim asked softly and cautiously. While Anthony thought to inside, ' You gladly betray Me when You saw Me being betrayed by My Father! I won't fall to Your damn dirty tricks anymore! '

" It's ok, what happened? I need to do something else. " Anthony said with the same cold tone. And Jim just shrugged it after hearing the sentence, since this Brother of His has always been cold and rude. 

" Allison is coming tonight for banquet celebrating the success of last weeks case. I heard the FBI Chief for the Los Angeles branch will come and participate too. This is a good chance for Your career. You have earned two years worth of experience as special corps captain in Denver but Denver can't contain You. " Jim explained while Anthony understand that this must mean He was rebirth 1 month before the Apocalypse started.

" I will be there, today tell the Boss I'm gonna test a new move in the training hall. So I won't follow today's briefing. Thanks. " Anthony said carefully and coldly.

" Alright, Bye Caps! I will meet You later tonight. " Jim cheerfully answered.

When the call ended, Anthony hurriedly ran to the mirror in the bathroom and when He see His old 22 year old face and His old body back, not His scarred and disfigured body and face, He excitedly said " Holy s**t! This is freaking real! ". After making sure the situation He is in is true and real by pinching His thighs and testing His old power before having ice and wind, He contentedly smile.

He serenely take a cup of water and tried His ice power. But when the cup with water is hold within Anthony's hands only half of the cup goes frozen. Seeing the reaction of His ice powers Anthony frowned and said " This sucks! I'm back at level 1? " after frowning for a while He sighed and said His toughts aloud " Well I guess this still is an advantage for Me. " Anthony walked and exited the bathroom.

After getting back to His bedroom, He sat down on the bed and sighed murmuring " Now, I have two things to do. Getting promoted to LA and searching for Mom. It's suffocating staying in this bastards den and needing to see their faces everyday! " 

After thinking it through, He opened His old smartphone and checked His bank balance. When the number have exceeded the 1 million number He was expecting. He said " Wow, I really were dedicated huh. Well I need to break people first. " After saying those things, He went to a side room, His changing room and picked a dark blue Armani suit and black formal shoes from Ralph Lauren. After changing His clothes, He took the car keys from the drawer next to His watches and picked a black sports car.

" Alright I'm ready. I need to break Jean's heart in front everyone and get Liliane's heart. That b***h dare to use Me! I need Liliane's Elder Brother's brains and influence on My new loyal team! " Anthony said to Himself in front of the mirror in the changing room. After making sure that He have brought all the things He needed, He goes downstairs and headed to the garage. 

After cautiously checking His car He boarded the sports car and with a controller opened the garage doors. In the road He turned on the radio, and when He heard the news anchor mentioning Denver's new serial killer, The Red Couple Chainsaw. He was reminded , that this was that bastards future achievement that make one of His sworn brother promoted to Los Angeles ! His grip on His wheels tightened and He gritted His teeth after a few moments listening about the victims wounds and making sure this is the same timeline, He checked His watch and seeing there is five more hours to the banquet. He decisively stormed to the next murder location.

- Behind a small wooden old house, Denver, USA

The sound of squeaking is heard from the small wooden old house's wooden window sills. The sun is still high on the sky and hotly burning the small wooden old house's rooftop and the small wooden old house's grounds. Three house empty, old and abandoned from the small wooden old house, there is a black sports car hiding behind the disorderedly growing wild trees with Anthony inside holding and cleaning His guns. After checking that there is no anomalies around His position and His target's house. He slowly gets out from His sportscar and sneaked to the old moldy fences protecting the small wooden old house.

Anthony creeped up the fence and saw many foliage and dying bushes, Anthony stepped skillfully on the disorder stone pathway. And Anthony walked slowly to the more thicker bushes, Anthony squats behind the thick bushes and took out some infrared camera to mark His proves and evidence.

After taking a few pictures, Anthony pulls out a camera roll and tried to check how many bodies and people is inside the house. 

The Police Forces and FBI have tried to collect the truths and tried answering is it a couple or a person that have been reeling fear to the citizens in Denver. Many teams have checked and said that its a couple since there is always two fingerprints and two blood direction in every crime scene. They tried to match it if there is a possibility for the culprit or culprits are ambidextrous but this was ruled out by the Police Forces and FBI since they have old reports that is similar with this case, with culprits being capable as ambidextrous people, but the statistics shows this kind of culprits never make a crime scene with both of their hands.

And this makes the Red Couple Chainsaw untouchable since the truth is the culprit is a single man, whom is ambidextrous and have stitched another finger belonging to a dead man unregistered within the citizens data neither the criminal data beside His left index finger. Making the police confused, and unable to extract further information from the real culprit.

But Anthony is lucky, He knows this case because He was actually the one that tried every thing to find this culprit but the informant mistook Anthony and the friend that betrayed Anthony in the future Nate. Making Nate collect a single tip from this house a man that almost died on the Red Couple Chainsaw's operating table, but that should have happened 2 days from today after the culprit left leaving the victim dying and right now the Red Couple Chainsaw must just have started. Now Anthony will show His advantages and He must make many friends inside the police system before the Apocalypse. Especially the ones in the Los Angeles Branch.

After checking and making sure that there is only two people inside the small old house, the Red Couple Chainsaw and the victim Ben Ramos. Anthony moved His position to an old tree trunk that can see clearly the side window of the small old house

When there is a sound of flowing water followed by a hoarse sound " Ckck the police won't capture Me after this many crimes I did ckck useless! Ptui! " the hoarse sound mocked after washing His hands. The figure that can be seen from the side window shows the culprit is actually a normal looking middle aged man! With ash brown hair and normal face that no one could recognize even in the streets even when someone shouted about His crimes.
