I keep my focus on my notebook, forcing the presence of the guy beside me out of my head.
It was starting to work as concentrated on the executions of the scales, I was drawing on my mermaid's tail.
I was deep in thought, when suddenly I felt a hand on my arm, I squealed in surprise at the touch.
Looking up, I was met with Mrs Yorks glaring attention.
"Are you right back there?" Mrs York asked venomously, clearing annoyed at my interruption.
"Yes sorry Mrs York, I just thought I ahh..saw a spider." I finished lamely.
She huffed and nodded, going back to handing out worksheets to each row.
I sighed, relieved at my narrow escape of another possible detention, one was enough for this year.
"psst."
I closed my eyes exhaling, I turned to my right, to be met by two beautiful deep green eyes.
He was the most handsome guy I'd ever met, his face was so symmetrical with light stubble, the whitest most perfect teeth I've ever encountered, this guy should be selling colgate toothpaste, his hair was pure black shaved short on the sides with a short length on top, and his sun-kissed tan made everything about him intensified.
I was staring, I knew I was, I was probably drooling too, I blinked, looking away as I replied.
"Ahh hi, what do you need?" I asked nervous, f**k Cassie no, we do not need to be seen talking to this guy.
" I just wanted to say hi to my cute neighbour." He voice was low and sexy, well puberty did things for you.
"Hello." I replied shortly, hoping he'd drop the conversation, I could see the girls in front of me, shooting daggers in the reflection of their compact's, I am digging myself a grave, talking to this guy.
"What's your name?" He asks, he wasn't taking the hint.
"Cassian or Cassie for short, now stop talking, you're getting me in trouble." I hiss back at him, he looked around following my gaze to one girl in particular.
"The teachers not even looking this way?" He replies.
I roll my eyes not answering, then he seems to catch the girl using her compact to spy, she quickly snaps it shut, placing it on her desk.
"Are you worried about the girls?" He asks, god this guy was persistent.
I looked at him, his eyes seemed to soften at my attention, still his smirk stayed on his face, I wanted to punch him.
"Yes it is, but also I'm trying to pay attention, this class isn't my strong point, now will you leave me alone?" I growl, someone offers a worksheet over their shoulder and I take it, thanking them.
Signing my name at the top, I start studying it, he leaves me alone for a little while before starting again.
"I promise I'll leave you alone for the rest of the class, thats..45 mins if you promise to have lunch with me." he says, I'm stunned I look at him, is he for real?
"Thanks but I'll pass, I don't even know your name, but I'm not interested in making friends, especially not today." I replied, looking back at my worksheet.
I hear his seat creak, then feel hot breath in my ear, I freeze.
"My name is Luce Fallen, short for Lucius, and I'd really like to spend lunch with you, I promise not to stare at you...assets." He finished cheekily, looking down at my straining shirt.
I turned a vibrant shade of red, you could of mistaken me for stop sign.
Flustered I turned to him, ready to deny him, but I was met with his eyes only cms form my own, his lips close enough to kiss.
"Just say yes.." He whispered, I was so shaken, I can't answer, I just nod.
He grins, eyes twinkling with the knowledge he has won.
I suddenly regret my acknowledgement of him at all.
Luce keeps his word and doesn't interrupt me again for the rest of class, I finish my worksheet and I am keen to get out of the classroom.
Still planning ways to dodge him at lunch.
I bit my lip, what had I agreed to?
