Chapter 10 let me teach you

Brandon’s P.O.V   Carla slammed her hands down on the desk after I ordered her to the gym. I didn't mean for it to come across as insensitive, but we needed to start her training and time was running out.   “Fine, but stop being an asshole, it's starting to get really annoying.” Carla said, gritting her teeth in anger.   “I’ll stop being an asshole when you actually start listening to me and doing as you're told. Now let's go.” I angrily replied and then sighed. This was going nowhere, but then she got up with her hands on her hips.   “Alright, fine, let's go. I don't know where the gym is, so you will have to show me.” Carla said, sassily.    “Come on, I’ll show you where it is.” I said, grabbing her arm and leading her out of the room. I pulled her along so that she would be walking beside me and we left the pack house and made it to just near the gym, but just as we were about to reach the gym she jerked away from me and pulled her arm out of my grasp.   “I know how to walk, you don't have to keep pulling me. Stop being an ass.” Carla said, making me pinch the bridge of my nose in frustration as I stopped and looked at her.   “Listen, do not tell me what to do, I bought you remember? If it wasn't for me you would have been killed by now. One thing you will learn here, Carla, is that I am in charge, this is my pack and what I say goes. I have kept this pack alive for many years and you're not just going to walk in here and ruin it. When you have your four fights, then I’ll set you free. Goddess knows I’ll have less of a headache. Now get your ass to the gym.” I replied, sighing. She turned to look away from me and before I even knew what was happening she slapped me right across the face. The force of the blow and the shock made me stagger back a few steps, grabbing the side of my face. She huffed once before turning on her heel and walking through the doors that led to the gym, which was just ahead. I had to admit she had one hell of a swing, but it pissed me off.   Carla’s P.O.V   I saw the gym up ahead and walked toward it, but when I got there and stepped inside I saw that no one else was there. I walked a little further in and found a pair of boxing gloves hanging up, then saw the punching bag just to the right of it. I was so pissed off with him and the fact I kept getting it thrown in my face that I was bought and paid for, like I was some kind of w***e. I didn’t ask him to buy me, f**k I didn’t ask to be f*****g sold in the first place. I felt my anger bubbling up inside me and knew I needed to get it off my chest before I exploded. I put the gloves on and started punching the bag, over and over again, all the time imagining everyone that had pissed me off and brought me to this very moment. My parents, the people who took me from my home and to that auction room, the auctioneer, the vampire who drained Gabi and most importantly….this stupid f*****g Alpha.   Brandon’s P.O.V   I stomped inside the gym, feeling myself get angrier, but then I saw her punching the bag over and over again. She had one hell of a right hook, I thought as I stood there watching her for a few minutes. It looked like she was seriously pissed off, but that was good, I needed her to be pissed off. As soon as I saw her stop punching the bag I decided it was safe to go over to her.   “You have some nice moves there, but I’ll show you some moves that you can use when you fight.” I said, making her jump when she realised I was right next to her.   “You want to teach me to fight, you have bought me and all I know about you is that you're an ass and an Alpha. What the hell is your name?” She asked, making me chuckle at how straightforward she was.   “Brandon, my name is Alpha Brandon. Right then, are you ready to learn or do you need more time to pretend that bag is my head?” I asked and she looked from me to the bag. She was seriously thinking about it, was she really imagining that as my head or was she bluffing?   “Come on then, I might as well learn something while I’m here.” She replied, as if I had given her a choice. I decided to let her sarcasm and funny remarks slide this time, seeing as she was still adjusting to being here and I didn’t want her to storm out of here before she had done any training.   “Right, when you are fighting, when your opponent swings at you, I want you to duck, then swerve from side to side, like this.” I said, showing her what I was talking about.   “Now you do it. I’ll swing at you and I want you to do exactly what I just showed you.” I said and she nodded. She watched carefully as I swung at her hard and she ducked just in time, then began swerving from side to side. I kept swinging at her and she kept doing as I had shown her, but on the last one she was a little slow and I hit her shoulder as she swerved.   “What the f**k? You do realise this is training and not a real f*****g fight, don’t you?” She asked, rubbing her shoulder and I instantly felt guilty. I didn't mean to hit her that hard, but she also had to get used to being hit, her opponents wouldn't hit her like a feather, they would come down on her like a ton of bricks.   “Yeah well, that's what happens when you lose concentration, now let's get back to it.” I replied and she scowled at me. I swear if her eyes were daggers I would be more than six feet under by now. We carried on for another three hours and she was dodging every fist I swung at her, which was good, she was learning.   “Right, now I’m going to show you how to do a few kicks and how to flip. Watch closely.” I said, stepping back a bit. I showed her how to do a round kick and how to flip and kick too.   “Now it's your turn, do what I just did.” I said and she nodded, backing up a bit. She did the round kick perfectly and almost landed the flip, but then missed the kick.   “Again.” I said, making her glare at me. She tried again and this time she nailed it.   “Again, don't stop until I tell you to.” I said and she nodded. She did round kick after round kick, flip after flip and she nailed them each time. She was a fast learner and after two more hours of training I finally called time.   “Alright, that's enough for today.” I announced and she stopped mid kick. By the time we were finished she was sweating all over and gasping for breath, but I was impressed with what she had learned today. I handed her a towel and waited for her to catch her breath before clearing my throat to talk again.   “I know Monday is your birthday, so let's see if everything is here. It should be, we have been in the gym for almost six hours. I have to put your stuff up and together, so you don't have to.” I said, trying to be nice and she nodded. I laughed because I knew she was too tired and out of breath to talk, but I also knew that she was going to be really sore tomorrow, especially after learning all those moves I showed her. I saw her tense when I mentioned her birthday, which was in three days time and it would also be her first shift, but I also knew that she was scared and nervous about it. We walked back to the pack house in silence, but just as we got there the truck was just leaving and we went inside to see that her stuff had been delivered. .
