Chapter 9 Rude awaking

1060 Words
Carla’s P.O.V   I jumped a little when I saw him standing there, but he just rolled his eyes and took my arm, walking me back into the bedroom and over to the desk. He never once said anything to make me think that he had heard what I had said, but then again, he didn't actually say anything to me at all. He pulled out the chair and sat me down in it, then made me face towards the computer. I sat there for a couple of minutes, waiting for him to do something, but he didnt do anything and when I looked up at him he was staring down at me.   “What?” I asked, wondering what I did wrong this time. He shook his head and reached up to the back of my head, taking my hair out of my ponytail. What the hell was he up to now? Why did he do that?   “The only time you will have your hair up is when you fight. Never have it up unless you are dressed in a dress and I don't mean ponytails.” He said and I rolled my eyes, looking back at the computer.   “Besides, you look beautiful with your hair down.” He said, making me blush and I was so glad that I was facing the computer, so that he couldn't see the red tint on my cheeks now. That was the first and only compliment he had given me, actually it was the only compliment I had received since I had left my home, well, my old home. He reached forward and touched the computer screen, making it come to life and then going on the website he wanted. I watched as the website loaded up and I saw nothing but dresses, beautiful dresses.   “Just pick whatever you like and in your size, then we can move onto other clothing.” He said and grabbed a chair, pulling it over to the desk and then sitting next to me. I stared at him for a few moments before looking back at the screen again, unsure of what I should get and for what occasion they would be for. I mean there is no point in getting a formal ball gown if we were going to go night clubbing, was there?   “Okay, so here are the dresses, you will need to pick one for the party next week, it will be on a Thursday, so you will have plenty of rest, plus you will be training. Make sure you get at least one for the party and then you can get however many more you want.” He said, pointing to all the dresses. I looked at all the dresses, pointing to the ones I liked and scrunching my nose up at the ones he suggested that I didn't like. We finally managed to find a dress for the party and thirty others as well. Goddess knows why, but he was adamant on getting me to wear dresses. I wasn't so keen on dresses, not because they were uncomfortable, but because they didn't have pockets and I always found that when I was nervous I would put my hands in my pockets to stop myself from fidgeting. Thankfully I managed to find a few that had small pockets in them, so I didn't mind as much.   “Right, that's the dresses, now we need the matching shoes and purses, so I have been told by Eppes.” He said, making me laugh. After our altercation I hadn’t seen Eppes or Kidz, but I had a feeling I would get on with both of them, as long as they did not decide to test me again. We again picked out shoes, purses and he even made me pick out some jewellery as well, saying that I needed to look the part as well as be the part. What was he talking about, what part?    “Right then, the next thing you need to get are the essential everyday clothes, also make-up, hair stuff and femine products. According to Eppes every girl needs this sort of stuff, so here we go.” He said, making me laugh at the fact he had no idea of what I actually needed. He clicked on a different website and I picked out shirts, pants, shorts, jeans, bras and panties, shoes and sandals, as well as the all important make-up, hair stuff and femine products as he called them. Once everything was picked out he clicked on the cart and paid for it all, making the shipping for the same day and then turned off the computer.   “Everything should be here in a few hours, your dresser, new vanity and my new couch will also be here soon. I also ordered you a phone and a laptop.” He said, making me smile. He had actually been really nice, he was calmer and more fun than before.   “While we wait, let's head to the gym. You need to start training for your first shift and your first fight.” He said, making my nerves rise up. This was all just too much for me, all these beautiful clothes and a party, not to mention a fight. Was this why he bought me? To fight? I sat there looking out at nothing, thinking about it all when suddenly he cleared his throat, catching my attention.   “I don't know if I’m ready for all of this, to do anything. I just got here yesterday and you want me to train to fight. What kind of mafia boss are you?” I asked, feeling really nervous and unsure of myself.   “I am the kind of one that if you don't get up I will carry you to the gym and make you train. I don't like to ask or tell twice, now get up and let's go.” He replied, pissing me off. Didn't he understand just how big of an adjustment this was? My whole life had been turned upside down in a matter of less than twenty four hours and he was talking like it was nothing. He didn't care, he was meant to be my mate supposedly, but he didn’t care one bit.
