Warmth and family

1029 Words
Alice POV: Aaron and myself had spent over two hours talking, for some reason I felt comfortable around him more the Alex - I don't know why. He was sweet, kind and caring, and wanted to know more about me...yeah I could not tell him everything since one he knew nothing of the human culture - like technology and such. So I could not really talk with him about any of that - I mean I tried to, don't get me wrong - but you try teaching someone who does not have the first clue about online gaming?! Plus it's not like I was to comfortable talking to much about myself - my family drama for one thing...plus he seemed to really want me to stay, so how could I tell him about how a part of my father side of the family wanted me dead. Once he left I messaged my friends back who where worried what was taking so long, "Hey sorry - something just came up, hoping on now :hearts:" Then I hit send before plopping down on my chair placing my headphones on hoping in game. *** After nearly four and a half hours of gaming getting up here and there to either go to the bathroom, get food and or water or just to stretch we called it a night. After sending my editor my game play file I turned off the computer do a major stretch before heading downstairs. I don't know why, but I had a strange drawing feeling to go out back, as I walked out there as the sun had set and darkness started creeping in I saw that it was fully alight with those string lights with the bulbs that hang down that look like stain glass. As I was walked out more I notice that the pool had that wired lighting those fancy pools have, and even the pound had some lighting to it and you could see the fish swimming about. Walking down the steps I noticed out of the corner of my eye sight that the fire pit was going with logs ablazed and crackling. Making my way over feeling it's warmth the closer I got not seeing though who had started it I sat down looking into the flame lost in though for a moment recollecting everything that had happened these last couple of days - hours at that. Leaning back in the chair sighing and closing my eyes I heard footsteps behind me I opened my eyes looking up to see smiling down at me a face I thought I'd never get to see. "Hey Alice, how have you been?" The boy who was six years younger than me asked, his forest brown eyes smiling sweetly down at me. "Charlie" I replied smiling just as large as his back at him, "What are you doing here goofball?" I asked getting to my feet giving him a large hug noticing he had grown to be taller then me slightly, "And I thought I told you to stop growing", I planed complained teasing him as we pulled apart. Gabriel POV: I hated family morning meetings, leaning my elbow on one side my head placed within and tapping my knee, Dear father I hate family meetings. It's always the same thing every time we get together, who has crossed the line or who should help in the churches extra and all. As one of the archangels I don't have to do any of that unless I volunteer - which I don't - plus I know that my siblings don't want me in the church after what happened last time Thinking about it I could not help the small smile cross my lips I will admit to me at lest it was beyond funny and can't understand why no one else thought so. *** One thousand years ago, Standing in the hall of the church dressed in a white robe with a Royal blue shawl wrapped around my neck gently laying over my shoulders. "Ugh", I whined as Michael walked up to me placing a hand lightly on my shoulder. "Brother Gabriel it has fallen on you to lead tonight's mass - this will be you first time, are you fully prepared?" Michael asked looking into my eyes unsure what I might say - I mean yeah I get it this was something I had never done nor wanted to in the first place. "Can't someone else do it", I whined knowing what his reply was going to be - I've been complaining since the day it was chosen to be my turn. "Gabriel we have talked about this many times - you have not done one survives - not even helped out with one - while everyone else has - it has bow fallen on your turn", Michael finished making my grown again, "I would finish getting ready", and then he turned and left. Growning once again a thought struck me making me smile wildly, "That might just work...if not it will still be hilarious". *** Once the survive had begun and everyone had taken theie sets I had raised my hands up high which was the signal for everyone to get to their feet. I watched as face after face turned to shock and some turned to worry as they all started to struggle and could not get to their feet. Bursting into laughter which was mixed with all those in the hall who where lost at what was happening I heard Micheal yell my name. *** As I sat in the meeting room drowning everything out I could not help go down the rabbit hole known as memory lane. And yeah my siblings where all pissed - but what can I say, I was never meant to do such a job. Specking of which I'll admit you would think I'd need more then an hour, plus you might be wondering what glue I used. First off it took less than an hour to get ever set covered in the glue mix I created since this was before glue was even created and all that jazz.
