Chapter 8: Transaction

1027 Words
Lynden Adrian Mercado handles Del Valle's organization's expertise. He lost his father when he was eighteen. As soon as he discovered his father had passed away, he inherited that position. An organization's regulation is that its members may persist in their role and be in charge of defending the Mafia Boss after their parents pass away. Matthias Greyson Silvestre, the guy, often sleeps, but he may be violent if their opponent wakes him up or provokes him. Similar to Lynden, he inherited his mother's role. All of the members of the organization understood that their lives might end, but even at the age of sixteen, he was hardly able to believe what had happened to his mother. The world of the mafia is frightening. They couldn't live longer even if they wanted to, especially given how many opponents they encountered. They felt anxious every day, but they had come to deal with the fact that their lives had come to an end. Miracle Eve Silvestre, Matthias’s cousin. Their grandparents are also members of the organization who fell in love with each other, and their sons are both Eve and Matthias’ fathers. Despite her father’s passing, Calliope Lyric Rodriguez joined the organization as well. Even though she was just 14 at the time, she was forced to assume her father’s role since she had no other option. They are the Capo of the organization. Capo is like a captain in every division, and they are the ones who are in charge of the soldiers of the organization. If they are unable to travel, they may also dispatch their warriors to engage in brief talks with their clients. The organization's other Capos have been busy with their missions around the world, and they will return shortly when they are accomplished. However, Ximena and the Mafia Boss are currently with the four Capo. Matthias attempted to strike Ximena in the face, but she avoided his blow. Ximena's speed astonished him, but since she was more skilled than he was, he couldn't hold it against her. “Too slow,” Ximena whispered before kicking Matthias’ tummy and punching his face. Ximena abruptly vanished as Lynden attempted to kick her in the back in an attempt to hurt her. She tilted her head, cracked a grin, and then vanished as she felt his presence. Lynden was startled when Ximena rushed to his left side and struck him in the jaw. “Better luck next time,” she murmured. After hearing that, Lynden proceeded to prod her, but Ximena whicked Lynden in the nape of her neck with her right hand. Suddenly, Lynden's vision wavered. He realized that Ximena's decisive blow to his nape was the reason for his body's weakness. The only thing he could do was kneel on the frigid floor. Ximena seeks to halt Eve and Lyric by kicking Eve's chin as soon as they start to approach. Ximena swiftly straightened up and attempted to strike Lyric in the stomach without giving Eve's attention. “What—” Lyric was about to say something when Ximena finally hit her in the stomach. Ximena prevented Lyric from assaulting her, even though Lyric wailed in agony. She abruptly tosses Lyric off while still holding onto her arm. “You better train again,” Ximena commanded them. “You are all Capos, but you can’t even defend yourselves.” Ximena folded her arms in front of her chest and stood erect. She can't help but be upset. She was aware that they lacked the strength to defend themselves. She needs to be harsh with them even though she loved the match. In the near future, they could be in trouble if they run into a random person or someone more experienced than them. They must receive more substantial training. “There’s a possibility that you can meet someone more skilled than you all,” Ximena added. “If you are weak, you will die.” When Lyric realized that Ximena’s toss had caused soreness throughout her body, she bit her bottom lip. She was distracted by how Ximena managed to defend herself. There are four, but Ximena didn’t even get a bruise. She is quicker than they were in their previous match and is able to block all of their strikes. “Once the other Capo completed their task, you all need to train,” Ximena informed them. All of them look at Ximena with their crumpled faces. Ximena’s attack had much pressure. It feels like they are battling a wall, and if they make contact with it, their bones may shatter. “Aren’t we going to have a mission?” Eve asked a question. Xylon gave them a mission once the other Capo came back, and Ximena forgot about that due to their weakness. Recalling her father's instruction, Ximena put her palm on her temple. She was aware of that, but her rage arose from their performance today. “Right, I forgot about that,” Ximena retorted. Ximena was forced to postpone the training after considering their assignment since she knew the other Capo would return at any moment. “Other Capo will be having training while you are all away.” She starts massaging her temple and nods her head. “What about us?” Matthias inquired at Ximena. Ximena glanced at Matthias, who was curious. “You need to complete your mission first before we proceed to your training. I’ll tell the Mafia Boss about this.” She stood straight and turned her back at them. “That’s all for today. Go back to our hideout and take a rest. We will be having a long day tomorrow.” “Are you having another negotiation again?” This time, Lynden asked Ximena about it. “Yes and I need all your presence. Tomorrow, we will be having another negotiation to rank 3 of the richest men in the business world,” Ximena ordered. “I need you all to tighten the security because this transaction is very dangerous.” “What did he purchase?” Lyric muttered. Ximena let out a cold chuckle, making them nervous. “A gun.”
