Chapter 7: Stubborn

“Do you have another transaction again?” Eve raised a question to Ximena, who was wearing a gold tank top and denim shorts.
Ximena’s aura is screaming. They can feel that she’s pretty furious about something that they didn’t know.
“Duel,” she answered and glanced at Eve, Lyric and Lynden, who were clueless about her outfit. “Who wants to have a duel with me?”
They all know that Ximena is an expert in fighting, especially since she learned different kinds of martial arts, but they know how to defend and attack, too. It’s just that Ximena is good at it since she mastered it very well.
She was trained for this, to defend herself, to fight and to kill. Her mentor was her father, so there would definitely be a high possibility that Ximena could break their bones if she gets triggered or she’s enjoying too much.
In the Mafia world, the requirement is that they need to be prepared for everything, from their mind, body, emotion, and skills in fighting or even holding a weapon. Everything should be in sync because if not, they will get eliminated from the game.
Since Ximena’s pleasure is killing mafias, low-ranking or mid-ranking, she doesn’t hesitate even if her father might get enraged. What she wants, she always gets.
“Anyone?” Ximena asked as she reached the first floor.
She came from the second floor, and while talking, she went down the stairs using her dangerous aura.
“Not me,” Eve retorted.
Ximena glanced at Lyric, who was chewing a piece of gum, looking at her nails to avoid Ximena’s eyes. She had no plan to have a duel with Ximena.
“Lynden,” Ximena called his name, but Lynden shook his head.
She had no choice but to clench her teeth and couldn’t help but feel mad. She just wanted to play a duel because she’s been very busy with her paperwork for the past few days.
Ximena needs to train herself again, even if she’s strong enough to defend and kill everyone.
Deafening silence prevailed as no one dared to speak, especially since they could now feel Ximena’s aura. But everything changed when Matthias entered Del Valle’s residence.
He took a nap under a tree, a few meters away from Del Valle’s house but still part of their garden.
Matthias loves to sleep under the tree due to the cold breeze hugging his body. He preferred the fresh air rather than the air conditioner.
His messy blonde hair makes him more attractive. He also had fair skin, just like Ximena, Eve, Lyric and Lynden.
Matthias also had an athletic body due to his intense training and workout to build strong stamina.
“Matthias,” Ximena said when she saw him entering the place.
Matthias glanced at Ximena, who was now staring at him with her famous icy stare.
“Let’s have a duel,” she muttered before turning her back.
She’s now heading to the training ground without waiting for his answer.
Matthias’ forehead crumpled as he glanced at Ximena’s back. He’s confused. He just woke up and was planning to drink water in the kitchen, but all of a sudden, he was chosen to be her rival in the duel.
“Why me?” Matthias muttered and glanced at Lynden. “What the f**k?”
“We have no choice—”
“You all decline to her but I can’t?” he asked them, and clueless was evident in his voice. “The f**k are you saying that, we have no choice? I should be the one saying that.”
“Just go—”
Ximena took her dagger and threw it in their direction when she felt that they didn’t follow her.
She doesn’t care anymore if she will destroy their house. She’s a billionaire. They have a lot of money in their legal and illegal business.
When they felt the presence of daggers thrown in their direction, they tried their best to catch it and glance at Ximena, who was now gritting her teeth.
“What are you all doing?” Ximena’s voice roared. “All of you, let’s have a match right now.”
“Wait— what?” Lyric reacted first. “I thought you chose Matthias—”
“I’m the heiress of Xylon and Xanthe,” she cut her, which made Lyric stop. “I know that your loyalty is with them but how can you forget that I’m his daughter and I have the rights to command you all?”
They all closed their mouth when Ximena asked them. If they talk again, there’s a possibility that they will be killed.
“I’m all higher than you, but you all constantly decline,” Ximena added, grinning from ear to ear. “So what if I’ll attack you all instead of having an agreement?”
Before they could speak, Ximena disappeared in front of them, who was just a few meters away from them. When they blinked, they saw Ximena pointing her gun at Eve’s temple and was about to pull the trigger, but her father appeared.
“Ximena!” Xylon’s voice thundered, which made everyone gulp.
They are afraid of Xylon due to his authority, and aside from that, he can quickly kill them right away.
Ximena might be more potent than them, but Xylon is more powerful than her, although she can surpass her father if she doesn’t try to limit herself.
Ximena snorted and pulled her gun away to Eve’s temple before gazing at her father. His face was crumpled, but Ximena was smiling evilly.
“What are you doing? Are you planning to kill my allies?” Xylon inquired about his daughter.
His daughter, Ximena, didn’t say anything. She’s now mad because of how she got treated by his allies. Ximena already knew about that, but she couldn’t help it.
Ximena placed her gun in her gun’s holster, which was in her legs. The grin on her lips was gone in just a span of seconds, right after she hid her weapon.
“Care to explain, Ximena?” Xylon clenched his teeth, but his daughter didn’t say anything. She started walking again, trying to leave that place.
Xylon can’t help but facepalm because of his daughter’s attitude. He knew that she got it from him, and he couldn’t help but regret it.
She’s stubborn, but she will never be Ximena Destin Del Valle if she’s not.
