I pull a face and dig behind a molar with a nail, pulling out a piece of fur that had gotten stuck. “Remind me to be less greedy next time...” I sigh. “Eating a rabbit raw, with skin and fur, sounds like a fast and fuss-free meal, but it’s not. It’s not worth it...”
Max lets out a huff, like he’s laughing, but I’ve got no idea which of his heads made the sound. He’s in his cerberus form, since it’s a little easier to cross long distances that way, and it’s easier for him to move through the undergrowth in this form.
When it was dark last night, I’d shifted into my hydra form and flown with him on my back for a couple of hours, since it’s hard to spot a hydra in the night sky, so it was pretty safe, but we can’t do that in the middle of the day. But walking in our human forms is
