I pulled Raven to the ground with me as the arrows flew through the air right where we had been standing . . . and then turned back around to come back toward us. I swore and pushed my feet as Raven did the same and we both took off through the streets, the arrows continuing to follow.
“Hold on,” She suddenly said as she stopped in her tracks and turned to face the arrows flying our way.
“Are you insane?!” I questioned.
She held up her staff and just as one of the arrows was about to hit her, she swung her staff into it, knocking it into the sign hanging above a building door. “Use your sword,” She told me as she dropped her staff and pulled her sword just as the other arrows came flying toward us. I did the same and stood by her side.
