(HIS) Chapter 08
They were all busy reading their books. We were in the library. Each of them had their own book. Meanwhile, I was leaning on the table with my chin in my hand, chewing on the sandwich I brought.
They were so quiet and I wasn't used to it. Instead of making a fuss, I stood up and tried to browse through the books. Maybe one might catch my attention.
"Hmm." I mentally read every title that my fingers passed through.
I took the last bite of my sandwich. I dusted off my hands and then pulled out a thick book from the shelves.
"The Miraculous Journey Of Edward Tulane," I softly read the title.
The cover illustration was interesting. A door and a rabbit. I kept chewing while flipping through the pages one by one. I was only reading the first line on each page. I was about to lean on the shelf when I happened to glance to the left and spotted someone. I pouted slightly. It was Lucas entering from the other end of the shelves.
It was dark there and no one else was around. Just him. He didn't notice me. He probably didn't know I had gone to the book section when I left their table. The entire library was quiet and these shelves were quite far from the other students who were seated and reading.
"I'm bored, and now . . . you're here." I grinned.
I closed the book to return it to where I got it. I walked carefully toward Lucas, who had no idea I was coming because he was busy looking at books. I grinned as I hugged him from behind, already thinking of something mischievous. He was startled and turned around.
"What are you doing?" he asked in a surprised whisper.
"Hugging you?" I answered, raising my hand to touch his chest. He caught it to stop me. He shook his head and looked at me sternly.
"We're not at your house. Stop this nonsense," he scolded me firmly, but still in a whisper.
He ignored me. He turned his back again and continued browsing the books. I bit my lower lip before hugging him again.
"Lucienne," he called, facing me again.
At first, I let him scold me. But now, before he could stop me again, I tiptoed and pulled him down by the nape of his neck. Our lips met. He held my waist, gently trying to push me away. I tightened my grip on his neck and tried to deepen the kiss.
He tried to speak to stop me. I took advantage of it. When he opened his mouth to talk, I slipped my tongue inside. I let out a soft moan. I pulled him and pushed him against the bookshelf.
"Lucienne, not here—" I sucked on his tongue.
He called my name again to stop me. But this time, he was starting to give in and slowly responded.
I let go of his neck when he began responding.
I brought one hand to my blouse and unfastened the buttons one by one. My other hand slipped under Lucas's T-shirt. I caressed his chest down to his stomach. My palm traced each line of his abs. Lower and lower.
"Wait." He groaned as he stopped my hand before it could slip into his pants.
We locked eyes. Both of us were breathing hard. His gaze dropped to my now-open uniform. My bra was already exposed. I quickly brought my hand there to undo the front lock. My breasts came free.
He swallowed hard while staring at them. Eventually, he leaned forward on his own to kiss me. I automatically parted my lips. My tongue eagerly welcomed his. We kissed. Biting lips. Sucking tongues.
Now it was me leaning against the shelves, because he had reversed our positions. His kisses trailed down my cheek, down my neck, and further down to my bare chest.
"Fuck." I cursed when his hot mouth wrapped around me.
I cursed again as he sucked alternately. Each time he let go, I could feel the coldness of the AC against me. His bite pressed harder on one, pulling a louder sound from me. He froze at what he was doing and stared at me, maybe about to scold me.
"Bite your lower lip. Hold back your moan," he said, and instead of my chest, he kissed my lips again.
He lifted me while kissing me, and I wrapped both legs around his waist. He walked, searching for a more secluded spot. We ended up at the farthest corner. At shelves that were dusty and almost bare of books.
He pinned my back against the wall. Lucas's chest was heaving, his breathing rough. His beautiful eyes were darker now, not from anger, but something else. He looked into my eyes before crashing his lips onto mine. He was in between rough and sensual. He was kissing me hungrily, but not to the point of ruining my mouth.
He ran his lips along my jawline and down my throat. He kissed my upper breast, then sucked my hardened tip again. Careful, sensual—his teeth tugged at it, like candy that wouldn't melt as he played with it using his tongue and hot mouth.
"Ah, Lucas . . ." Weak, restrained moans escaped from me.
His lips returned to mine. As his lips moved, so did his hips. My heartbeat went wild, racing. He was already erect! I could feel him even through our clothes!
"Shit." I grabbed a fistful of his hair, tugging while he kissed me. s**t. s**t.
I heard him growl low as he kept kissing me, thrusting his lower body. With each grind, our kisses turned more violent. My skirt slid up. Now, his every thrust pressed against my panties. The huge bulge and the zipper of his pants made me cry out louder.
"It's right here at the end . . ."
My attention snapped at the sound of someone speaking. It took a moment before I realized it wasn't either of us. My eyes flew open. Lucas was still kissing me, eyes shut. I pushed him back, and his lips ended up on my neck.
"Lucas, someone's here," I whispered.
He froze. Faced me. Our eyes locked.
"This is it! I told you, it's here!"
I saw two girls at the next shelves. We were hidden by one shelf, but it wasn't filled with many books. If it wasn't dark, we would've been too obvious. Even with the dimness, if either of us moved, they'd notice someone was here. If they lifted their heads just slightly and peeked through the gaps, they would see us.
"Is this all you need?"
He was still carrying me as I heard his loud swallow. Sweat was dripping from him now. Reality must have hit him-this was a library, and his girlfriend was just on the other side.
"Yeah. Come on, let's read it already!"
Lucas released a heavy sigh of relief when the girls left. We looked at each other as he slowly put me down. I quickly fixed my clothes. My uniform was wrinkled now, but his was still neat, except for the slight mess in his hair from my pulling.
"This is your fault," he accused. "I already warned you, not here."
"Not here, but you almost came? Oh, come on, Lucas, you enjoyed it!"
I grinned as he turned his back on me and went back to searching for the book he'd been looking for earlier.
"Go outside first. They'll be suspicious if they see us together."
He walked past me, ignoring me, focused only on finding the book. I went out first and sat where I had been earlier. Catelynn turned to me and smiled. Rome narrowed his eyes at me, eyeing my wrinkled clothes and swollen lips.
"Did some wrestling just happen?"
Lucas came out from the first row of shelves. His eyes met mine first before he quickly looked away. He busied himself with the book in his hand until he reached the table.
"What wrestling? Did you hear groans of people fighting?" I laughed.
Rome narrowed his eyes at me with my suspicious answer. That made me laugh more. He flicked my neck with his finger.
"What's this red mark?" He raised an eyebrow. "Too rough? Who did you make out with?"
My eyes drifted toward Lucas, who looked nervous and swallowed hard. He was only flipping pages, but he was sweating. My grin widened. I didn't know why, but I was thrilled whenever I saw him panic like this. I cleared my throat and stopped myself from teasing him further.
When I turned the other way, a tall, handsome guy stepped out from the shelves. His polo was unbuttoned and his hair was messy. He looked at me. I smiled at him before he could even look away. Good thing he smiled back, his gaze lingering.
"Is it him?" Rome said. "Oh my god! He's so handsome!"
The others turned to give a curious look. I laughed as Rome pushed my arm, even suggesting that if he had handsome friends, I should introduce them.
When I glanced at Lucas, his eyes were no longer on his book. He was staring at the guy I had just smiled at. The man was talking to the librarian, but he still found time to sneak glances at me.
"He's a womanizer, right?" Catelynn said when she noticed him still looking at me until he left.
"Yes! But he's so handsome!" the gay beside me squealed, elbowing me. "His lips are so red! Is he a good kisser?"
"Yes," I replied with a grin, turning my eyes to Lucas who was glaring.
Catelynn giggled softly. She held Lucas's hand that rested on the book. He didn't react, pretending to be absorbed in reading.
"Be careful with guys like that, Lucienne. It would be better if you end up with someone like Lucas. You won't feel nervous."
I choked on my own saliva. I bit my lip hard to stop myself from laughing, especially when Lucas shot me a dark glare.
"Snacks, guys!" Ryder came with food in hand.
"How did you get that in?" Rome asked, grabbing first.
"My aunt is the librarian!"
Everyone turned to the food. Even the guy I had smiled at was forgotten by Rome. Lucas and I exchanged looks. He shook his head as I grinned.
"Take some." Rome gestured at the food.
I reached for some chips near Leela. She was looking at Lucas. When I opened the pack, I glanced back at her. Her eyes were now on me. She stared for a long time before shifting to Catelynn, who was quietly eating.
