Chapter Seventeen A knock sounds at my door, and I frown, confused by who it might be. I don't get much post, and it's still before the dusk siren, which makes the pool of who smaller. I don't think the sound is frantic enough for it to be anyone in trouble either. I pad down the hall, glad I'm already dressed, even it's only in an oversized t-shirt and leggings, both of which are among the few items I brought with me from outside the wall. I go up on my toes so I can look through the peephole.
