Lily hoisted her luggage off the conveyor belt at DFW airport when she heard her phone chime.
She stared down at the screen and her jaw dropped reading Brandon’s text.
Your plane has landed. Come to my office immediately.
He commanded her to come to his office. She should be mad that he was ordering her around like a golden retriever, instead a little buzz ran through her veins.
At almost four o’clock in the afternoon, she knew her coworkers weren’t expecting to see her until the next day. She wanted to head to her apartment. After two weeks away, nothing felt better than being home.
