Chapter 9

Aaron's POV

Jade Starlight, that is a beautiful name, it suits her. I can't stop thinking about her ever since I watched her fight today in the park. Even though she was wearing a mask to hide her face, it can not hide her scent. Now I know I said back in the park that I knew she was the unknown female, even though I never seen her before today. That is because I know everyone in this town. I knew that the guy was bad, I just didn't know how right I was.

Two girls from my pack have been abducted, now according to my mate, my heart skips a beat every time, the guy 'Neil' that is what she called him, was not the one behind this. I want to trust her but I have this feeling that he is the one pulling the strings. I reach the pack house, the next thing I know I'm having an up close meeting with the side of my house! I crawl out of the rubble, a guy quickly grabs me and throws me against a tree, the air knocked out of my lungs. I look and see the guy is walking up to me, I stand to meet his attack head on. When I looked him in the face I realized he was from the park, is he 'Neil' who Jade had talked about earlier? He threw a punch, I tried to catch it, but missed I hear my nose break, then my right arm finally my right leg.

Then a figure drops in front of me, I see a sword on his back, "Not a he, thats our mate!" I hear Blaze say. I got scared I tried to get up to pull her to safety, but instead I watched as she pulled her sword. The metal was pink color, she ran at the guy, every blow was blocked by both. As I was watching I saw Ben running towards me, just as he reached me I passed out.

Jade's POV

I'm in my room getting ready dinner when I felt my ribs break, I felt around and none of my ribs were broken. I shrug my shoulders and finished getting ready for dinner with my sisters. I was at my door when I felt my right arm break followed by my right leg, I fell to the floor. I don't know how, but I just knew that the pain was Aaron's. I picked myself up and out of the hotel, once outside I changed into my Warrior Bounty clothes and whent straight to Aaron's property.

As soon as I get on the property and past the trees I see a huge house, about the size as mine, I looked to the front of the house and I see Aaron setting up against a tree and Neil standing in front of him. I'm pissed and scared, I ran over jumping up on the tree just above Aaron's head then I came down in front of him. I looked at Neil, then I pulled my sword and charged. We fought blow for blow, blocking evey swing never giving an inch. Then I noticed a guy running towards Aaron, I was about to intersect, but I felt Aaron calm down so I just focused on my target. I knocked his sword from his hand and was just about to deliver my final strike, when a huge brown wolf jump him! Giving him the time he needed to get away! I turn to the wolf "I had him, now I have to find him all over again!" I yell. The wolf lowers his head and whimper I sigh I walk up to the wolf "Were you worried about me?" I asked and he raised his head and nodded "Well, in that case it's fine. But the next time I have him unarmed don't jump in! Got it?" He nods his huge head. I turn around and "Now we're did that guy take Aaron?" I felt a nudge behind me, I looked back a little and see the wolf is pushing me forward so I let him guad me.

He leads me into a building that looks like a hospital! A nurse walks up "Can I help you miss?" "Hi, I was wondering how Aaron was doing?" She looks at me then the wolf "Oh, of course! I will show you to him!" before I could object she grabbed my hand and started pulling me, I had no choice but to follow. We reached a room she opens the door and pushed me inside, then closed the door. I walked further into the room I see a bed, "Hi! I was hoping you would stop by!" I hear Aaron say. I walked up to him, just in hands reach, He reaches over and grabs my hand and pulls my to him."Detective Jade Starlight!" My eyes go wide. He started laughing "Hahaha! Relax I knew since the park. I looked down, then reached for my watch and removed my work clothes, now I'm wearing nice jeans and a blouse with butterfly. I looked back up and see him smiling so wide, it from from ear to ear. "So who was that guy?" I looked at him, I debated weather to tell him or not. I continued to look at him then I decided to tell him. "His name is Neil, he comes from a planet called Redrose. He was arrested and tried for his crimes, he was sentence to death. However he escaped the day before he was to be put to death. They searched their planet for him, before spotting him here on this planet. They got a hold of my brother and asked for our help in tracking him down and carrying out his sentence." I said all at once. When I looked back at Aaron's face, he was shocked, I started remembering the other times I did this with a few friends: They always had the look of shock, that turn to confusion and they tell me to leave and never to return, I saw that coming now. But unlike the other times where my heart hurt, this time my heart is breaking!" I look down at my hand that he is still holding, I decided instead of waiting to be told to leave that I was going to just leave. But he wouldn't let go, he uses his other hand and gently lift my head up to look at him, I see him smiling and love coming from his eyes. Wait! Love? I must be seeing things. I squeeze his hand and smile back, then the nurse comes in "Sorry miss but the visiting hours are over." I turned to her "Thank you!" I turned back to Aaron "Call me a.s.a.p." I walked out of the room and left.

***30 Minutes Later***

I reached the lobby of the hotel and my sisters are there waiting for me. "Is everything ok?" Pearl asked "Yes, I fought my target just a little while ago but he got away again." I tell them, "How did you know where he was?" Ruby ask, I look at her. "Well, I well tell you while we wait for our food." We walk into the restaurant in the hotel, "How many in your party?" the head waiter asks, I smile "Three!" I say. He nods his head and grabs three menus and leads us to a table, once seated we ask for water.

After he left we read the menus discussing what to have, while we are trying to decide our waiter comes back with our water. "Have you young ladies decided what you are having?" We look at each other I then look at the waiter I sit my menu down "Yes, we will take three of everything!" His eyes go wide "Are you sure miss?" I nod my head "Oh, and we will take three glasses of chocolate shake!" He nods his head eyes still wide, he writes everything down "I will be back with your orders!" he says then he walks away. After he leaves we start laughing. "K, we are now waiting for our food. Start talking!" Ruby orders me. So I precede to tell them everything that has happened since I arrived. They sat there stunned, then Pearl "Aaron's a werewolf!" I looked at her and rolled my eyes "Werewolves don't exist, they are only stories that 10 g-grandpa like telling us. That is it." I say. My sisters just sake their head but drops it. Just as our food and shakes are delivered.
