Scott POV
I grab Adalynn’s hand, and we jump in the middle of a big group heading out the back of the gym. We keep our heads low and continue out the door. As soon as we’re clear, we take off and run toward my car. Adalynn’s hair is flying in the wind, and her laughs are carefree. It has been a while since I’ve seen her happy like this.
Sneaking around gives her a thrill. “Being a bad girl suites you, Adalynn,” I say as soon as we reach my car.
I closed her door, ran around, jumped in, and headed out quickly. I keep looking back, and I don’t see anyone following us. Adalynn rolls her window down, closes her eyes, and leans her head back, thoroughly enjoying the freedom.
