You have magnificent dreams but say otherwise,
Maybe because they're unreachable, people think they're lies.
***
Walking around aimlessly,
Trying to be a part of society,
Your face is smiling but it's gaunt,
They never knew of the dreams that haunt,
Night and Day, awake or asleep,
You wonder why you've buried yourself deep,
Living your life like a song on repeat,
Just waiting for your heart to cease its beat.
***
Half your life you stay in schools to study,
Another half of it working for money,
If I may ask, did you actually live?
Or did you force yourself to believe?
***
You see other people having fun,
While you point yourself with a loaded gun,
Every single day you try to enjoy living,
But most of the time you get tired of forcing.
***
A poet cuts herself with a pen
Every wound and every scar hidden
On paper written with blood so dead it's black
You would know for sure that is is life she lack.
***
Every person sees you differently,
You even act accordingly,
An array of masks arranged on a shelf,
Who are you really? You don't know yourself.
***
You despised waking up from a good night's sleep,
For your dreams were better you thought as you weep.
***
I was never the favorite,
Corners are where I always sit,
People just watch when I get hit,
One time I got stranded in a pit,
Nobody helped me get out of it,
While I sat there cold and moonlit,
Desolation froze my heart bit by bit.
***
The bright screen hurt your eyes,
But you still scroll to read his lies.
