Orion And Onyx

1203 Words
Orion’s POV This human has been sleep longer than I expected. At least she’s comfortable here in my office. I’ve spent the last 500 years doing everything I can to make sure we have everything we needed once Onyx returned and now she’s finally here. I hope the human isn’t hurt, I can’t speak to Onyx if she’s unconscious. I just need her to wake up so I can explain everything and then we can get out of here. I know I can convince Onyx, but can I convince the human? I’ve been stuck with idiots trying to get to my love. I had to make them believe I wanted to do something awful just to get them to help me. The girls I have no problem with since they want the two mates, the guys are another thing. They all want to keep her for themselves so they can breed with a dragon. If only they knew my plans. The only one that knows it is the warlock I first spoke to. If things go right, he will be able to remove Onyx from the human and make her into her own person. Hopefully she will look the same as all those years ago like I do. We can go on and live our lives like we planned before the devious woman ruined everything. Suddenly there is a knock on the door and I go to answer it only to be disgusted at what’s in front of me. I could’ve sworn this wench wanted the elf so why does she keep coming on to me like this. Greedy w***e. “Hey Orion.” She purrs. I try not to vomit all over her. She’s in a trench coat and heels. I don’t even wanna think about what’s underneath. She has on enough makeup to supply a whole beauty store with bright pink lip…what ever that mess is called. She would be beautiful with her sun-kissed blonde hair and blue eyes, but she ruins it with that crap almost every woman on earth wears now. She’s going on and on about “relieving me of my stress” but I’m hardly listening. “Are you even listening to me?” Sabrina asks “Sorry, I’ve got a lot on my mind…” I respond “Which is why I’m here, I can tell you need a little relief. I can help you.” She says. Next thing I know she’s pushed me back on the chair at my desk and is about to unzip my pants when I here Arya stirring. “Move!” I sternly say as I push her away. I get up and walk to Arya waiting for her to finally wake up. When she does I’m met with eyes that match the color of fire and I know it’s Onyx. “Orion what have you done?! Please tell me you aren’t who everyone is working for!” She yells. “Leave!” I say to Sabrina. She slowly walks out, shooting daggers at Arya. “NOW!”, I roar. She trips over her feet running out before slamming the door shut. I sprinkle the powder given to me by the warlock around the room so no one can hear us. “Yes my love it is me, but the goal is not what they’ve been telling you. I had to give them something to convince them to help.” I explain “And what is your goal?” She questions. “I know a warlock that can remove you from your human so you can be your own person like before. Then we can run away and be together like we planned!” I tell her with a smile. “We can start a family…” I finish. “You can’t be serious.” She laughs. “And what makes you think I’ll abandon my human so easily? She’ll be in danger if I leave her! Her and Shadow!” She yells. I can’t believe what I’m hearing. She’s saying no? “But…we had plans Onyx. We were suppose to live a long happy life, I just want to give us a second chance at it.” I say with tears in my eyes “I get that Orion, I really do. But the Goddess chose me for her for a reason. I can’t go against her plans. There are serious consequences for doing that. I must ask, can you even shift?” She says as she tilts her head to the side. “No.” I whisper. “It’s a sacrifice I made to have you back with me and I’d do it all over again.” “But are you truly happy? To be back, yet not back at all? What kind of life is that? A dragon that can’t even be itself?” She says. I stand there and think about it. Maybe I can stop all this and ask the Goddess for forgiveness? Maybe I can make this right. But what if she doesn’t give it? What if she ends me? I did all this to reunite with Onyx and I won’t let her get away again. “If you don’t come willingly, I have other ways to get us where we need to be.” I say with finality. She looks at me with shock before retreating to the back of the girls head. “You can’t do this.” Arya says. “The Goddess needs us together to accomplish what she needs.” “And what is that?!” I ask. “Do you even know what that is or are you blindly letting faith guide you? How can you be so naïve?” I shout. “If your so damn special, why did she make you go through what all you’ve been through? I’ve heard it all, I’ve been inside your mind.” I finish. I may not be able to shift, but I still have all my abilities. I stand there watching her to see how she will react. Suddenly she breaks into a grin and before I know what’s happening, I’m being swept off my feet by Onyx’s tail. I quickly get up to defend myself, dodging all her swings. She grabs the lamp off my desk and throws it at me before running to the door and escaping. I instantly hit the alarm button and watch as men come from every corner to surround her. “There’s nowhere else to run Arya. Surrender and we can handle this like civil adults.” I say. She makes an attempt to fight her way out and I must say I’m impressed at her skill. She’s also perfected her abilities which I had hoped to teach Onyx how to do myself. Unfortunately for her, my men managed to have her cornered again. She stops to catch her breath before glaring at me for a good five seconds before yelling “SCREW YOU!” Then I watch as she transforms into the beautiful obsidian dragon I remember and flies through the concrete ceiling and away. Shit. How could I let that possibility slip through my mind!
