Introduction
In werewolf packs there are rankings. You have the Alpha the top rank of the pack. Rule is only the Alpha’s bloodline can take the throne. If the sitting Alpha does not have an heir of age, 21, by the time they retire at the age of 40, they will have to name a successor. The successor has to be someone of a ranking bloodline. With the alpha comes a mate which is called the Luna!
Then you have the Beta! He or she is normally the best friend of the Alpha. They are second in command. They handle the affairs of the pack when the Alpha is unavailable. They are the number one consultant to the Alpha! With the Beta comes a mate which is called the Beta Female.
Next in line, Gammas. They handle warrior training. They are the first contact for the members of the pack. He or she is the best friend of the Alpha and Beta. With the Gamma comes a mate which is called the Gamma Female.
You have the Omegas. They are the caretakers of the pack. They clean, they cook, and they do laundry for the pack house members. They are treated with respect as any other member.
The mates are normally from other packs. Mates is short for soulmates. They are the other half of each other.
The Moon Goddess, Selene has paired together 2 people to live as one after the mating process until death do them part. What is the mating process? Well during sexu*l intercourse they would bite each other where the neck meets the shoulder. It is often during then so the bond can be stronger. The mate bond is often so strong the living mate often falls into a deep depression. They may also be su*c*dal. Some often die of a broken heart within the first 6 months of losing a mate. Mates are meant to meet at the age of 16 but cannot complete the mating process until the age of 18. If a mate is rejected the person whom has been rejected gets a chance at a second chance mate. Whom they will not meet until the age of 18. The person whom has done the rejecting do not get a second chance mate, but can choose a chosen mate. A chosen mate bond is not as strong as a mate bond or even a second chance mate bond.
