Jimmy has one foot in the Grave

As Dee loads Corey in the car and Janice gets in on the drivers side, Jimmy is sitting in the parking lot watching the activities that is going on he watches Janice pull off and heads toward home, he start his engine up and follows a few feet behind trying not to be seen but someone did see, Dee who was finishing up a cigarette. Dee sees Jimmy following behind Janice and Corey, he quickly throws his cigarette to the ground and rushes in to let Ramon know. “Hey Ramon you know that guy you got into it with?” “Well I just saw him following behind your cousin and her husband,” Ramon sits the wines on the counter in anger. “I know that b***h better not be going where I think he is going, this bastard has one foot in the grave he just don’t know.” “Hey Jay I need you to do me a favor, can you finish stocking the bar for me I have something I have to go take care of.” “Sure love go handle your business.” Jay says who is also the owner of the club and has a thing for Ramon.

Ramon grabs his bag and keys and rushes out the club, mean while Janice pulls up in their drive way and gets out walks over to try and get Corey out. Jimmy parks his car a few feet away and gets out. As Janice struggles to get Corey out the car Jimmy runs up to her “Hey do you need some help?” Janice looks and sees Jimmy and says to him “um, yes please if you don’t mind, my husband had a little to much to drink and I’m trying to get him in the house.” “Oh bless his heart and no I don’t mind,” Jimmy says with a smile, as they both get his legs out the car they try to stand him up to walk in the house. Janice has one arm and Jimmy has the other, they manage to get him in the house and lays him on the couch. “Oh thank you I don’t know how I would have gotten him in here by myself,” “oh you are welcome I was just walking by and I saw you looking like you was having trouble so I ran to your assistant.” “Well thank you again, I’m sorry I didn’t catch your name?” “My name is Paul, Paul Knight I just moved in a couple of houses down.” “Oh really, you look very familiar have we met somewhere before?” Janice ask “maybe at the grocery store or at the bakery?” “I don’t think so, like I said I just moved here.” “Are you sure it seems like I have seen you somewhere recently but I can’t put my finger on where it exactly was.” “Like I said before, I’m new to the area, well I have done my good deed for the day I have to be leaving now.” “Look at me, where’s my manners would you like a glass of wine before you leave I just made an apple pie earlier today, you must have a slice before you go,” “Just something to show you how grateful I am to you and my hospitality, so what do you say one slice of pie?” “It’s kind of late and I have to get up early to finish unpacking, “ “please I I insists ,” “Oh ok, but just one slice,” Janice and Jimmy walks towards the kitchen “you have such a beautiful home,” Jimmy says looking around; “why thank you.”

Rachel walks downstairs as she calls out to her sister “Janice is that you?” “Yes, Rachel we’ve in the kitchen,” Rachel walks in the kitchen and see Janice and Jimmy sitting at the table with a glass of wine and some pie laughingstock having a good time “so the party is in here?” Rachel ask “Hey sis whose your new friend and what’s going on with Corey?” “Is he ok?” “I just saw him passed out on the couch?” “Yes he just had a little to much to drink,” “is that where you went, to go and get him?” “Yes, someone had called and told me that he was at the club starting trouble so that is why I went down and found him passed out at the bar drunk.” “What club was he at?” “He was at the club where Ramon works,” “what was he doing at that club, isn’t that a gay strip club?” Rachel ask her sister “yes, it’s a long story and I will tell you about it later; in the mean time meet our neighbor Paul Knight he just moved into the neighborhood and he helped me get Corey out of the car, I don’t know what I would have done if he hadn’t came by.” “He’s my life saver,” Jimmy stands up and shakes Rachel”s hand “nice to meet you;” Rachel says “are the kids ok?” “Yes, Katie is fast asleep and so is Aaron, I had to read Katie 3 books before she fell asleep,” “here sit down and have a glass of wine and a slice of pie before you leave.” Rachel sits down, “it is late I’m just going to sleep over;” as Janice pours her a glass of wine. They are sitting and laughing as time goes by “oh my I didn’t realize how late it was,”Jimmy says “Ladies I really have to be going” “no, don’t go yet we am having such a good time,” Janice says as Jimmy stands up to get ready to leave just as they all stand to walk Jimmy to the door the door bell rings. “Who could this be this late at night,” as Janice goes to answer the door Rachel and Jimmy stays in the kitchen; “Ramon, what are you doing here this late?”

Jimmy hears Ramon’s voice and looks around to found a way out. Rachel also hears Ramon’s voice “who is that?” “That’s just our cousin Ramon, he’s probably here checking up on Corey.” “Hey love, all that wine seems to go through me is there a restroom I can use?” “Oh yes it’s right though there by the back door.” As Rachel goes in the living room to see Ramon Jimmy sneaks out the back door not to be seen. “Hey Ramon, is everything ok?” Rachel ask “yes, I was just seeing did Janice and Corey make it home alright.” “Yes, as you can see he is lying on the couch passed out, “Janice did you see anybody following behind you and Corey after you all left the club?” “No, I didn’t notice, why?” “No reason I was just asking.” Rachel where is Paul did you just leave him in the kitchen by himself?” “No, he went to the restroom.” “Who is Paul?” Ramon ask “he just moved into the neighborhood and he was passing by and helped me get Corey in the house.” “Come on in the kitchen and I’ll introduce you to him,” as they walk towards the kitchen Jimmy was gone. “Where did he go?” Janice ask “I thought you said he was in the restroom Rachel?” “He did say he was going to the restroom, maybe he changed his mind he did say he had to go.” “Y’all had some strange in your house and now he’s gone?” “Rachel and Janice how much wine did y’all have?” “We only had two glass, what you think we are lying look it’s three glasses on the table and you know me and Rachel couldn’t have drunk out of that third glass?” “Janice you better stop letting random people in your house, but I must ask, was he cute?” Ramon ask “I don’t know if he was your type Ramon, he was nice looking.” Rachel says “just one thing, I knew I have seen him somewhere before but I just can’t put my finger on where, oh well maybe it will come to me in the morning.” Janice says as she puts the wine glasses in the sink. She turns the light off and they all walk back to the living room where Corey still lay fast asleep, “well ladies I’m going to head out I’ll talk to you guys later.” Ramon kisses both his cousins and walks out the door; Janice locks the door after he leaves. “So what are you going to do about hi?” Rachel points at Corey on the couch “I’m just leave him thing and let him sleep it off, because I’m not about to try and get him up all those stairs.”Janice replies.
