Chapter Three
"He sounded so sincere like he was sorry. "Ramon looks at his watch and gets up to leave and says this to her. "Janice I love you but you need to sit down and have a long talk with your husband because he can only keep lying to you for so long, he needs to tell you what's going on with him because I can't stand seeing you like this." "You just let me know what you want to do about the situation and you tell me before it gets around." "Because people talk, I don't want you finding out if your husband is having an affair through someone on the streets and you know who I am talking about." Both of them say at the same time. "Yes, aunt Susan; you know she knows everybody's business before the actual person does Ramon says." "Sitting in that old house smelling like cigarettes and mothballs, girl yes and with all those dam cats," both of them started to laugh. "Girl, I can't stand going over there on Sunday's to visit, she is always telling somebody's business but her own." "One Sunday I was over there and she was talking about my mama to me, she was saying she can't cook and that she stole all her recipes." "Janice, she even went to the extreme to say she even has a son who wears ladies clothes and walk funny." "She didn't realize she was talking about me to me." "Oh, but she didn't ask about you, she said how is Janice and her kids with that bad little girl that always chases my cats around the house; and that gorgeous husband that brought me that nice television for Christmas last year?" "Honey she is getting old; but one thing I can say is that heifer sure can bake the hell out of some peach cobblers, she had just baked one when I was over there last weekend, girl it was so good I went home and slapped my mama, they both laughed. "Yes she can, she can bake some good pies, but we had to stop eating her pies after we found a piece of hair in it." "Corey said no more she would always send us one every Thanksgiving; did you say you found some hair in one of her pies, I have one question was it cat hair or human hair?" "I don't know, I wish you have told me this last weekend before I went over there and ate some of her peach cobbler." Janice burst out laughing. "Well you know she is getting old, well you know she is our mother's oldest living sister, besides Carlos same to like her and her peach cobbler he didn't say anything about finding any hair in it." "Wait whose Carlos?" "You don't need to know all that right now, I'll tell you about that later, you need to concentrate on getting your situation straighten out we have plenty of time to talk about the many men in my life later." "Janice before I go let me tell you what your aunt Susan asked Carlos, she asked Carlos was he married?" "He said no madam, I haven't found the right person yet; she then asks him have you ever been with an older woman before?" "He says no again, she then ask him would you like to be with one?" "She says to him, young man I can teach you things you have never seen before." "Janice, I just threw my hand up and told Carlos it's time for us to go; I told her to stop being fresh Carlos was so embarrassed he started blushing." "Aunt Susan said that?" Janice laughs. "Yes, don't let aunt Susan fool you I think she has a boyfriend she doesn't want us to know about, we are be thinking its just her and all those dam cats, I think she be getting her freak on." "Ok, girl give me a hug I have to really be going I have to be at work at 5 I'm covering for my friend at this club downtown tonight, remember cuz I'm always here if you need me I love you, he blows her a kiss and walks out the door.
