Punishments are generally not a good thing. Especially when it has been handed down from The Fates themselves. With the war against the Queen of vampires now behind them, Nate, along with every wolf who followed him, found themselves prisoners to their wolf form. Leto, their beloved Moon Goddess has abandoned them and without the war holding them together, their newly formed alliances have quickly fallen apart. No longer returning their calls for guidance, Heka, the witches God has disowned his loyal covens for their part in placing Nero's soul inside Sky's unborn child.

While the wolves have struggled to adapt to their new reality, the witches have dire problems of their own. Their powers have slowly faded away over the years, leaving them defenceless and barely enough power to perform simple charms.
