Henry walks out of the operating room to remove his gown and everything else while Catherine removed everything and exits the operating room through another door walking straight out, away of everyone without looking back or without looking to everyone who have called her on her way out towards her office where she opens the door and closes it without really knowing what she is doing until she found herself sitting on her chair looking into nothing but the wall in front of her while the thought of his lips parted and until it curve into a smile that melted her in so many different ways she could have never imagine. She never imagined that something like this would happen as soon as comes back from Japan where she lived all her medical life. From the very moment she entered the medical world, until she got the offer that was on the right time with her brother transferring.

“It is still a long day.” A voice came that surprised her and more when she came face to face to whom the voice came from.

“Chief.” She said startled.

“Catherine, are could see you are not comfortable with someone in my hospital, although the other person seems to be way more than comfortable with you. It is not every day I see him and hear him like that in operating room specially when he is holding his favorite instrument. Well, even not. He is just not so comfortable with anyone except me that is a lot of pity since I do not swing that way.” Dr. Bailey said making a joking tone out of the last few words.

“That way?” Catherine innocently asked.

Dr. Bailey looks at her in disbelief before he said “Nothing, it is better you do not know.” To her as he walks closer towards her.

“If you say so then, may I ask why are you here?” Catherine said ignoring what she told to.

“This kid. It was supposed to be a joke, but just how innocent she is not to know those kinds of jokes?” Dr. Bailey thought to himself before responding to Catherine’s question.

“Nothing, I just want to apologize for what Dr. Altman did in there, it is the first time he acted like that and as I watch him and you, I understood why so here I am, asking for forgiveness as he does not mean any harm on his actions and words and ask a favor at the same time, to be his friend. I feel sorry for him every time he needs to stick with old people whenever we go out.” Dr. Bailey said.

“So, what he said last night is true. It is so kind of you to feel your concerns that way towards him.” Catherine said in teasing tone seemingly a pay back of what happened to her that Dr. Bailey joined with.

“I feel that way because just like you we also have a long way back from the past so, you are both valuable for me. In both here, inside of this hospital and even outside.” Dr. Bailey said.

“You do not have to…” Catherine said only to be cut off by a knock on her door.

“Who is it?” Catherine said instead of finishing her sentence.

“Altman.” The voice said.

“I should go now.” Dr. Bailey said who also heard the name that was said.

Dr. Bailey twisted the doorknob and open the door to be greeted by the shock Henry as he appears in front of him and even give him a smile that he could not help but to gulp down.

“Oh, and Dr. Stevens please do not forget the small favor I have asked you.” Dr. Bailey said before he excused himself and vanishes from both of their sights.

“Did I somehow interrupted something I should have not?” Henry said as he makes himself in not waiting of Catherine’s words.

“No… no. I am even thankful that you came and make that stop.” Catherine said with an awkward chuckle coming from her making such pleasing sounds given by how Henry’s face change into something like something good is happening even with his unclear intentions of appearing in front of Catherine right after he made sure his patient was for only a good post-op that will occur when he left and still until he comes back.

“Really? Why? Did something happen?” Henry said as soon as he came back to reality and walks towards Catherine.

“No… it is just that I feel awkward talking with him, especially when he jokes, I am not sure if I should laugh or is it ok not to laugh or even laugh just out of courtesy.” Catherine said a little hesitant at first but still did even though she looks away.

Henry looks at her and listens to her low voice, so he needed to take a few steps towards her so he could hear her more. And the moment he did, he could not help but to smile as to how cute she is right now thinking about these things towards the old chief.

“I know, but right now I could not feel sorry for you, rather I feel happy because finally after a couple of years, someone came who knows how I have felt for those years. Chief does not really go out with anyone else; it has always been me that everyone asked me of what is my relationship with him.” Henry said after chuckling silently making out of the moment she looked away.

“Now, I am the one who feel sorry for you.” Catherine said with her voice full of sincerity while looking at him.

“Well, I do not need it anymore.” Henry said boasting.

“Why?” Catherine said wondering.

“Well, now that you are here, I could just tell him whenever he asks me to join him that I have made plans with you. I am pretty sure that he will leave me alone, and to my luck with you.” Henry said with teasing tone in his voice
