“Are you seriously asking me out in that sense?” Catherine said in disbelief as soon as she finally woke up from her zoning out.

Henry looked at her with a serious expression before he chuckles and said “I was just joking about asking you out, stealing you from your husband, but the part that I want us to be friends is a fact and truth.” Before he finally laughs as soon as he sees Catherine’s eyes went wide open.

Catherine looks troubled, she is having a hard time to read the man’s true intentions by or behind his words through his eyes although it is her specialty that has been the reason why she have been keeping most of the people around for a long time, she knows them and she knows very well how to keep them.

“It would not be a problem if you want us to be friends, so I guess I could go out with you some other time not tonight.” Catherine said that even if she has trouble looking past his words, she does not feel any threat coming from him so she said yes agreeing to his offer of friendship. And it is not like he could do him harm as she knows her brother and Dr. Bailey will not sit tight leisurely even the fact that is she is old enough to protect herself.

“Re…. Really?” Henry said in disbelief and happiness.

“Really.” Catherine said with a smile on her face, wide and big.

“Thank you!” Henry said full of excitement like a teen age boy who asked his crush for lunch and received a yes for the very first time in his life.

“That is nothing.” Catherine said.

“Now that I have gotten your yes, your agreement to my proposal of friendship. I will be going now and leave you free for tonight and will just ask you another time, maybe tomorrow?” Henry said getting up from his seat and walks towards the door which he twisted the door knob to exit Catherine’s office.

“Wait!” Catherine exclaimed.

“What is it?” Henry said looking back to her.

“Since you are such a funny guy, I will let you know one secret.” Catherine said.

Henry looked at her with a trace of excitement on his eyes while he smiles as he waits for more of what Catherine is about to tell him.

“What is it?” Henry said as he sees Catherine being a little indecisive while closing the door behind him where he is standing in anticipation.

Catherine looks at him, she is indecisive but the feeling of telling him is way more than it so she gulps down after taking a deep breath as she walks towards him until she is just two steps away from. Stood and look at him into his eyes while clearing her throat and takes another deep breath.

“I do not have a husband.” She said with her low soft voice after leaning closer to Henry’s ear.

Henry remained silent, focusing his concentration on what this girl is doing, what she is about to say or just said that took him of good amount of time as he zones out after hearing Catherine’s words.

“Did you hear me?” Catherine said leaning back away from him while she looks at him while he zones out.

“Dr. Altman?” Catherine called out to him to bring him back that has gone for a couple of times before he finally blinks a couple of times and look at her back into her eyes.

“Is that true?” Henry said doubting what he heard.

“It is, just do not spread this gossip, ok?” Catherine said putting her for ginger on her lips giving him the silence sign with a smile on her face.

Catherine looks at him waiting for his response which did not really took that long as he quickly nods a few times and said “I will not dare, but not because you said but because for my own gain. No gossip, no rival.” After the nods and waves telling her that he will be going.

Henry left Catherine with a shock on her face and disbelief of what she just heard from the man who just exited her office door.
