CHAPTER 35
Joel gives a fantastic talk about character development and dialogue. It’s obvious he’s very knowledgeable about writing and I’m impressed. We then spend the rest of the morning writing. I work on my adult novel and am inspired to start another children’s story about a talented rat. I call it Jacob and His Amazing rat and read it to the others during our tea break.
It was Monday morning and time to get ready for school.
Jacob yawned and stretched, then jumped from his bed. He ran across the
carpet to open his curtains. The sun was shining high in the sky and it was
warm and summery.
He pulled on his grey shorts.
