Bad Valentine's

Me and you like the heavens with the earth, even though there is so much difference between the two of us, we need each other and are bound to each other. Nothing in this world needs only the sky, and no one only needs the earth. In this world no one can live alone, it is a natural law that humans in this world live side by side and help each other. just like me at this point desperately needing his presence even without any definite status between the two of us. I am Fildza, at this time I am no longer a teenager. at this point, my age is mature enough to know what true love means. yes, at this time I turned 34 years old. maybe many think that a woman my age has to get married and even have children. but not for me. My current age is perfect for reaching the peak of my career so that we can reap good results when we get older. and now I'm almost there. I work at one of the largest startup companies with a position as COO (Chief Operating Officer) or commonly known as Deputy Director or Director of Operations. I am a career woman who is very fond of work because I am a perfectionist and a little introverted. I also like various sports. but what I do routinely is jogging. and I have a friend, from my elementary school to high school we are always together. my friend was named Tito. Tito and I are like the cartoon characters of Tom & Jerry, the two of us always fuss over small things. people say we are both like heaven and earth, although we often quarrel, it doesn't take long for us to make up again. whether it starts with me or from him. our friendship has been quite long. you could say that now it has been nearly a dozen years. the only thing we have in common is that we are still single. Tito works in a private company, he has a position as a manager in the company. many women who always want to be his lover but he always rejects her. at first, I thought he was gay. because so many women had broken his heart. but apparently, my guess was wrong.  he's just too picky. Tito was quite famous when we were both teenagers. how could he not, his stout posture, and a little muscular, and his smooth face like a comic book character, and a haircut that fits his face so well, who wouldn't be tempted by his appearance. that's all he got because he is a descendant of Korean - Indonesian. he looks not much different from Korean idols. besides that, Tito is a smart kid. therefore he always excels in academics. he was ranked 3rd out of one school. for him, rank 3 is the lowest rank he has obtained and he is not satisfied with receiving it. apart from academics, Tito is also good at sports. like basketball, soccer, even he is also good at playing baseball. Tito is amazing, that's what made him so idolized when we were in school. even though we weren't in the same college, we used to hang out together and sometimes we spent time at my house or Tito's house. other friends who knew about our relationship always told us to just date, but we refused outright. There is a saying that men and women can never be friends. there must be someone who harbored feelings. whether it's from the man or the woman. sometimes I think Tito is very handsome, but after seeing his very annoying behavior, I immediately changed my mind 180 degrees. His ridiculous behavior made me very disgusted and in the end, making the two of us fight a lot. I have one thing in common with Tito, which is that we are both too picky. every time the two of us are matched by our other friends, we always fail. as time goes by, we have become like now, remain single. we are just busy pursuing our respective careers. there is one memory that happened between me and Tito. when we were both sitting in college. in our opinion, it is a sweet memory that can't be forgotten just like that. it just so happened that the memories coincided with Valentine's Day. You know what Valentine's Day is like, the day when many young people are in love, they give each other chocolates or flowers, even other small gifts. Valentine's Day is identical to things that smell of romance. for single men or women, Valentine's Day feels like an ordinary day. Nothing special. same thing with me and also Tito. It was February 14, 1999, where there were so many celebrating Valentine's Day. even many shops are designed in red and some even pink. At that time, the shop that sold flowers and chocolates was in demand. I, at that time, was walking alone in a shopping center, felt very uncomfortable seeing so many people bringing their partners. I only saw a handful of people walking alone. and one of them is me. coincidentally it was already late in the afternoon, then I decided to call Tito and invite him to watch a movie at the cinema. Tito accepted my offer and hurried after me. I decided to book a ticket to watch in advance after I saw the film, it turned out that all films were romantic. I can only sigh at that time. finally, I decided to choose a film starring Julia Roberts, entitled, " My Best Friend's Wedding ". first, I just ordered it at that time. not to forget I also ordered a bucket of salted popcorn and a large soda drink. After waiting for a while, finally Tito came to see me. Tito was a little surprised and laughed, he did not think that I invited him to watch a romantic film. I told him to shut his mouth and then pulled him into the theater. soon we entered and sat at our place, the film was playing. "Hey! Seriously, why is there only one drink and one food here?" Tito whispered. "Here, you want it?" Said Fildza, handing her the popcorn in her hand. "ish..ish..ish. you cheapskate!" said Tito while pulling the popcorn in Fildza's grip. " Ck..ck... alright, take it. " Clara said, glancing at Tito irritably.
