Liah sat in the huge conference hall with her nanny Molly as they interviewed people who wanted to be Lora's P.A. Liah was getting bored already.
" This is the 99th person, Liah you still haven't found the one you are looking for." Molly expressed her concern.
" I won't stop until I find that one person who fits perfectly for this the job. I don't want to disappoint mom."
" Okay I would help you do that." Molly patted her shoulder with a smile.
" Next!" Liah called.
Then a man with ink black neatly trimmed hair with bright hazel eyes handsome face, charming lips in a black suit entered with a chilling aura. His every step was with confidence. He was tall, well built and Molly wondered how many times he visited the gym a day. He greeted. His voice was deep and cold yet soothing and his eyes held a depth of emotion. Despite his polished appearance there was something dangerous about him. He was like a big mystery, one Liah was eager to unravel. As Molly was already dazed by his charm Liah's face gave off nothing.
" What is your name?" Liah went straight to the point.
" Andy." He gave a precise answer.
" So Andy," she began " what makes you think, you can help my mom?" She picked a note and a pen.
" Well I have a lot of experience helping CEOs like your mom."
He kept on a straight face.
" You know this company is an Technology . So do you have the ICT skills?"
Liah knew he already, he had it on his resume but still had the urge to ask.
" Yes I studied ICT."
" Hmmm....that sounds boring!" Liah uttered scribbling somethings down.
" What do you do for fun?" Liah's question came to him as a surprise. This made him chuckled almost darkly because his definition of fun was different.
" I play video games." he responded remembering what made happy when he was her age.
" That's fine. Do you have any experience or training in martial arts?"
" As a matter of fact I have a black belt in martial arts."
" Is it in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, kickboxing or mury Thai?" Andy was impressed as to how matured she acted, the questions and the cold front she had built.
" Kickboxing and taekwando." He still maintained his calm posture.
As a satisfactory carved Liah's lips, Molly congratulated him.
" Congrats Mr. Andy you are hired."
********
" You start work tomorrow but I would introduce you to your boss today so you know what do tomorrow." Liah led the way to Lora's office.
To Liam or should I say Andy, it was ironic, how the CEO of a multi-billion jewellery company had now become a P.A. They walked though the empty corridor, he occasionally glanced at the busy employees who had their eyes glued to their computers. The architecture was impressive. Andy knew James Johnson but from afar, after all he knew everybody and everything that happens in the business sector. Some say he is the king and you dare not mess with him.
They were there, infront of Lora's office, the CEO's office. Andy's heart raced. He was going to see her again face to face after two years.
' What if he recognises me?' he thought.
KNOCK!!!
" Come in!" She responded from the other end. And they entered the neat black, white painted office fully furnished.
" Liah dear come here...." Lora motioned for her to come closer.
" Mom see, I got you an assistant as I promised..."
Lora turned to Andy scanned his from head to toe.
" Yeah I can see. But wait have we met before?" She asked Andy.
" No ma'am never have we met." He denied.
Ignoring the nagging feeling Lora went on to say.
" By now you know I hate lazy cocoons as well as incompetent people. You better be good. I would let my secretary handover the necessary information you need."
" Yes ma'am." Andy responded and he followed the secretary out of the office.
