Chapter 3

661 Words
When the school is finally over, I am torn out of the flood of students through the corridors of the school to the door. At the very front, the doors open and carry the electricity further out. From there they all split up and disappear in different directions. Most of them just enter the big yellow bus to get to one of the suburbs as fast as they can. I, however, cross the white zebra crossing and make my way to Marissa, Alyssa's best friend, because I'm to pick up my sister there. My gaze wanders across the street and observe all the details. I am a person who always automatically keeps an eye on his surroundings and notices almost every detail. The juicy green grass between the narrow stones on the street, I notice immediately and the chewing gum remains on the green stone is striking me and even more the green, sailing from the trees, leaves I see immediately. Many people have been living here too long to see how beautiful our town is. It never was like that for me. I've always tried to keep an eye out for the nice little things in life and I get it pretty good when I'm not in the stress my a-levels is currently causing. Trying completely in thought, I only hear the second part of the voice of the person who shouts my name loudly across the street: "Hey Katy, wait for me!" I drive around in surprise and look with the look for the person who just called me. When she comes running up to me, I recognize who called me there. It's my best friend Morgan, who almost certainly missed it today, but does not want to admit it. Immediately I stop and wait for her. As she approaches, she asks, "Where are you going, this is not the way to your home." "Yes, I know, but Mom asked me to pick Alyssa from a friend." "Oh, okay, can I come with you?" She asks with interest. I nod happily. Again and again I am glad that we are friends and it never gets really funny between us. "Sure," I reply, looking for something to eat in my pockets until I find it: "chocolate bar?" She nods and picks up the latch I gave her: "Of course, which friend is your sister?" "Marissa," I reply. Immediately the black-haired woman turns her hazel eyes and groans annoyed. "What does she think of?", Morgan asks annoyed and opens the paper of the bolt before she bites into it. "No idea, ask her." She breaks out in laughter: "No, better not." Laughing, I open my own chocolate and bite into it. Slowly, I begin to chew on the bitter mass and enjoy the taste, until Morgan returns to a rather unfortunate topic: "Do you go to the party right now, do not you?" "I'll think it over," I reply immediately, looking at the floor so she does not ask any further, but she does not seem to understand the hint "Are you going shopping with me today? We need new clothes," she replies cheerfully, putting an arm around her shoulders. "I did not say I'm going to the party," I say again. "I know, but you still go shopping, right?" "Of course," I reply with a grin and put my head to one side: "I always do." However, when I pronounce the words, I feel an unpleasant pulling in the stomach. I did not really mean what I said, and instead do not want to go shopping, after all, I know that Morgan will not let up until I say yes. At this moment, we arrive at Marissa's house and Morgan finally lets go, as I gently press my finger on the bell button. Inwardly, however, I am aware that she will not leave me alone until I agree to come with her. This is just the calm before the storm!
